Goodness gracious. Two scenes that were too intense—the team getting arrested, and kav flipping out at the end. It's so good it hurts.
I really really expected kav to sit down, stare reflectively. It was taken in a whole 'nother direction. Holy shit!!!
Seriously, I'm not used to that level of intensity. Or maybe I forgot about it.

One thing I picked up on while watching "Trophy" for the second time was the Garage Sting scene: It was lit in that same bluish tint that the Money Train Hiest scenes used. The garage itself resembled the MT set. I think those two things were working on me subconsciously during my first viewing because I associate those guys and that color with DANGER. It was a very nice touch by Philip Atwell and DP Rohn Schmidt.
That girl going through the window in the opening scene made me cringe, I gotta admit.

Hey, who was that dancer Vic was talking to in the club. The one with the accent. Was she from another season or something?

This is the stuff we have been waiting for! The bubble gum chewing build-up to now. It paid up in full. With each episode we see a little bit more of Kav emerging and Vic catching on. This time Kav was ready to pounce and Vic was prepared. Excellent!! A+ I was confused as to why the team was not figuring out the bug...how could they not find this! By the end, it all came together...they are wayyyyy toooo smart for this shit. They knew it all the long. As for Danny's stomach...C'mon people! Pregnancy is a beautiful thing for a woman! Like you never seen it before. I saw nothing wrong with Dannny showing her belly. It is every part as real as anything else you are going to see on this show.

Except that I know one. My daughter's best friend in 5th grade was the daughter of a cop, a woman cop at that. It was all pretty normal, actually. She was a uni cop. Yes, there are dangers, but probably no less than what postal workers face!

Believe me that was a good pregnant belly!
Some people (ie: me!) shouldn't/wouldn't show their bump off because they are not nice, Catherine dent is lucky, no stretch marks and she's pretty small so she should loose the weight quite quickly!

These posts are flame bait, ladies. Bloated hippo?! Nasty little germ-laden poop machines?! How mean!!
I loved being pregnant and I loved seeing Danny's belly. I'm sorry if some people thought it was gross - I thought it was beautiful! By the posts from above, one might think Danny's belly was the most disturbing image ever aired on The Shield!
How can you two NOT think someone might be offended by what you are saying? Shibby is going to have her baby ANY DAY NOW, and several of us have been pregnant at one time or another. And we love our kids!! Diaper changing and nose wiping is a labor of love, and until you have your own children, you won't really understand that. Ever.
I've lost two babies before they were born -- if my belly had gotten that big with those two pregnancies, my babies might have had a chance at life.

Sorry to hear that, E. And referring to the episode, I feel little dumb.. I thought the Strike Team didnt knew their clubhouse was wired, and in the garage scene, I was so nervous, I even paused it when Vic "shot" the russian, and the cops stormed in... was a hell of relive when it turned out that Kav got owned. I guess Acaveda gets his on this season... Vic played it lovely, maybe turning Kav against Acaveda, which lead to: Kav might screw Acaveda's Carrier up Kav lose a valueable helper in the strike team chasing

Noooooooooooooooooo! Let's keep the thread civil people. For the record I have no problem with Danny's belly. But that's NOT what the show was about! Anyhow, my favorite scene was definitely the whole "Councilman", tap on the arm by Vic. ;D Followed closely by Kav going Ghost Dog on the "whorish" hotel room. (Good one dtpollitt) I also enjoyed the reference to Monica trying to "warn" Vic last season. Little things like that just make me chuckle on the inside. Now one question I have... not sure if I should go put this in a new post.... but why oh why (despite the client confidentiality) would Vic give so much info away to Kavanaugh when he was talking to Becca in the Barn?? I know that part of it was b/c if ever it came up later in court, it would be dismissed. But still.... just seemed to me as if some stuff would've been better left not said. No?

Thanks wendig0. I didn't know they knew about the bug in the clubhouse either. I assumed Vic would get out of it, but I had no idea how. It was just brilliant writing - you go KURT SUTTER! I'm changing my avatar back to Margos....

Whoa, I just checked back in here... I never would have thought that the sight of Danny's belly would cause so much stir. Am I in the minority by not feeling "offended" or "disturbed" by looking at Catherine Dent's (real!) pregnant belly...? And I'm not a proud father or even planning on becoming one. (*shakes head*). This episode was so rich in brilliant, Shieldian stuff that all the buzz about that one particular and, IMO, not too significant scene (in relation to what went down in this episode) baffles me. *smooches arne!* Borrow away! #biggrin# I gotta return the favor... *smooches Teri* Thanks! ;D

TDanny's accidental pregnancy disappoints me. I expected better from the strongest woman in the Barn. So, let me get this right ... when Catherine Dent got pregnant, they should have sent her home instead of putting her pregnancy into the story line? Boy, I'm really confused now. I thought you were saying women are oppressed by biology, but now it seems you want to oppress Dent for getting pregnant???

Dent forced the producers/writers to deal with it so her pregnancy had to be written into the story. She did? Of course! They cannot fire her for fear of a lawsuit. She's got an active part this season, so obviously she insisted on it. They had no choice.
