OK, Danyy's pregnant. I think its time to talk more about what happened on EP 5 and move away from this. There is a thread here for Danny's pregancy (knocked up if you will). I hate to see this start looking like the FX board, this site is great. I am not offended by what they showed, or anyone;s opinions, all are wlelcome, just go talk about them in the proper thread. As for EP 5, it was the best of the season so far.

You are right, mack daddy, this is not the FX board. This is the best f*cking board around and it is exactly why I left the FX board along with several devoted FX members never to return. You are also correct in the fact that this episode was the best one to date. It had to most tension and excitement leading up to the end. I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I was dying every time there was a commercial. Now I know why Chiklis was biting his fingernails over the script!!!

Now I know why Chiklis was biting his fingernails over the script!!! Shouldn't he be biting his fingernails over NEXT weeks's script? That's the one he's directing, right?

As for EP 5, it was the best of the season so far. Thanks for your comment, mackdaddy (and icy's reply)--I agree with you wholeheartedly. When I start seeing comparisons to the FX board it gets my attention. I certainly don't want this site to degenerate to that level. I am also glad that some peeps who used to be on that board saw fit to come over here. Unfortunately, at present it is not possible to move individual posts to different threads or I'd move all the posts that refer to Danny's pregnancy out of this thread. That being said, I ask all members to express further opinions on Danny's pregnancy, or anything related to it, by posting to the "venting" thread theshieldrap.proboards45.com/index.cgi?board=thisnthat&action=display&thread=1134015006 in the "this n that" board. This is not about mind control, but there are some elements of "free speech" and using it responsibly within the context of this site's Rules and Guidelines. Bottom line: I will either redirect subsequent posts that appear in this thread related to Danny's pregnancy or just delete them. Redirect means "cutting and pasting" to another thread(including a reference to the name of the original poster) due to the current limitations of Proboards (hopefully, that will change in the next upgrade and I think it will). I'm also contemplating how to handle issues like this if they pop up in the future, but I'll cross that bridge if/when I get to it.

Chem-Just so you know, this is nothing like the FX site! As we all get to know each other, sometimes we get on each others nerves. Even easier to do the more you know someone. A little bickering between family is normal. The site is great, well run, don't let a little tiff upset ya.
Without sounding like too much of a kiss ass, this site great, nothing like the abortion on the fx site.

Thank you, Badcop, for saying so... from what I have heard, TSR is NOTHING like that f-ed up FX mess. I cannot believe that Glen and the cast even grace them with their presence...guess it's all about what the "suits" want. Bleh
Anyway, we have some passionate peeps around here who go off now and then...myself included. BUT you will never see a cheap shot or an abusive post. We argue sometimes, like the members of any family, but the love...woo, the love is what keeps it all together.
I think I need to pop in a Marvin Gaye cd right now!!

wow .. that whole thing killed this thread alright.
I really was a little hesitating when tom said he bugged the clubhouse cause we knew from prior seasons that ronnie sweeps it on a regular basis. it all seemed a little too easy. All in all, tom makes the same mistake every adversary of vics has made so far - underestimating him. I think hes learned that the hard way.
As for the direction tom is going, I suppose its pretty clear. He's gonna obsess with bringing down the strike team, and on that path, will become even more crooked himself.

well, this is a first for me - I actually fell asleep at 9:45 Tuesday and had to wait for the rerun (even forget to TiVo the damn thing) - my teaching schedule got all changed around this semester and I haven't caught up to the new hours - that's the first time I've done that since the show began
I don't have much to add (and will beg off the pregnant issue - which I thought was a great scene, btw)
what I really really liked about this ep (the best so far this season) was how everything was tied into the main story (except for the Dutch/Claudette case) - what a great job by the writers - I thought Shane's reaction to Vic's lawyer comment in the parking lot was a pretty good predictor of what's to come from our boy Shane - his weasel quotient is definately going up - and the next to last scene between Kav and his techie was a nice touch too - someone said it above about how Kav really is all about being morally correct and trying to arrest a bad group of cops (well, at least for right now anyways) - now it's certainly become an obsession and, as in all tragedies, we know how that works out in the end
but my fave scene was the one between Danny and Claudette - to the best of my knowledge, that's the first time they've had a scene together (just the two of them) and it was really good and says a lot about their characters
I really like the Becca character - you have to wonder about just how far that whole attorney/client privledge thing goes - she's slowly evolving into the female Aceveda
and the Dutch line: "Dutch-boy has a plan" - shoulda cued up the Duran Duran song

even louder after i checked the board and saw all the rave reviews - we have a huge fan base within our department and of course I had to listen to them talk about the show all day long and I couldn't say a word - and you know how hard that is for me, ha ha - I have a couple cans of Starbucks double expressos for this week!! I just got an article published in some journal and they wanted a picture so I sent them one of me with that huge S3 Shield poster in the background - hopefully they won't crop it well, just checked and here's a link: www.directionsmedia.net/newsletters.archive/index.php?ID=675#guestscroll down to the 'Guest Editorial' and click on my name and check out the poster, ha ha - The Shield is everywhere!!

That's great, JWC! You've got the Shield behind you, and your colleague has what appears to be Dr. Who's Tardis!

At this point the rating for Trophy is 40/41 A's -- is that a record?

Goodness gracious. Two scenes that were too intense—the team getting arrested, and kav flipping out at the end. It's so good it hurts. I really really expected kav to sit down, stare reflectively. It was taken in a whole 'nother direction. Holy shit!!! Seriously, I'm not used to that level of intensity. Or maybe I forgot about it. "Trophy" A+ all the way. But.... that last scene with Kav flipping out. I don't know, it almost seemed like Forest as an actor was trying too hard to look angry. Sure it was cool seeing him break all his shit and throw a chair out the window, but I think he could have put the point across that he was way pissed a little differently. How, I don't know. It just seemed a little out of character for Kav. Although one could also argue that we really don't know anything about his character at this point.

Instead of the ape-like "AHHH!!!" grunts I would have preferred some good old fashioned cussing. And maybe just flipping the table with the laptop on it would have been enough. edited to correctly identify quoted poster
