Season 3 did not. That's when Vic and Shane got into it and Vic told Shane it was his one shot to leave the ST.

I finally got my copy of The Shield Soundtrack and it ROCKS!!! I love it! I think one of the best songs they ever used on the show was "Bawidtaba" by Kid Rock. If ya'll remember they used it in the very first episode, starting when the Strike Team left to raid the drug dealer's house and Terry was killed. It just flat out kicked ASS and I thought it was really cool. I love the song anyway, so I was thrilled! Still waiting for them to use "American Bad Ass"!!

Hehehehe...
Kid Rock is such a piece of white trash. Love him or hate him, you can't deny his Double-Wide Prowess. I thought that was a very fitting song for the Pilot Montage. However, having been a karaoke frequenter in the last year or so, I absolutely HATE that song now. I've heard SOOOOOOO many people try to do it only to find they're too drunk and don't know the words sober that they shouldn't have attempted it.

I dont know if you would consider this music, but I was watching season 2 today and at the beginning of Barnstormers Lem is singing Rich Girl by Hall and Oats. I thought he wasnt doing half bad. They should have let him keep going instead of cutting him off.

I like that there was no closing song for the Finale. Gos to show its not like other series and uses its style of gritty brutal reality. Although a song tends to make things seem more powerful or better.

This may not be a popular opinion around here, but I think the use of montage in The Shield is a bit over used. IE more is less. Ya dig? The producers should have limited it's use to just twice per season. JMO.

I think it would be so cool if they used "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns 'n Roses. It just fits. I also love Three Doors Down and I'd like to see them do "When I'm Gone" ~ ____________________________________________________ There's another world inside of me that you may never see There's secrets in this life that I can't hide Somewhere in this darkness there's a light that I can't find Maybe it's too far away Or maybe I'm just blind...... ____________________________________________________
Damn, I love that song. I am also crazy about "Here Without You".

I think both those songs would do very well with The Shield. Ecspcially "When Im Gone"

I think one of the best songs, mainly because of the lyrics and its placement, was "Breakdown" by Tantric. It was in an interesting scene (and something they haven't done since), which was when they replayed the end of the previous ep, when Vic burnt Armadillo, and extended the scene, in which he walks outside, past Ronnie (who looks startled at the bloodsoaked Vic), and then drives home to unsuccessfully wash his shirt. The lyrics go really well with the scene- Vic's breaking down as he is beating Armadillo, and goes home to his empty house with no wife to clean the blood. Very fitting

My favorite use of music has been "Hurt" and the Kid Rock song playing while preparing for the raid on Rondell's place that Terry was killed at.

Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" was played prior to the raid on Two-Times's place, not Rondell's.

I appreciate your enthusiasm.... But no it isn't.... that's just a fan's "slightly edited" version with music added. It's not an official teaser from FX.
And anyway, when they actually DO release anything, a post like this belongs in the Snitches board.
All discussion of previews, teasers, and ep descriptions is to remain contained to the Snitches board. Thanks.

E,
Cuentan Que El by Jose Amigo (not Whitehouse as another poster wrote) was impossible to find but if you post asking for it as IMDB's Shield board, a guy has a copy and will email it to you in an MP3 file. I have it on a different computer, otherwise I would send it to whoever!
