the new TV Guide had this to say in it's 'Cheers and Jeers' section:
Cheers to Walton Goggins for a pair of killer performances. The skilled actor made a chilling guest appearance on CSI as a suicidal sociopath who slaughtered a houseful of showgirls. Meanwhile, he's doing career-best work on The Shield as his character, Shane Vendrell, scrambles to cover up the murder of his LAPD pal Lem (Kenneth Johnson). Goggins has already won an Oscar for producing a short film, and at this rate, he could add an Emmy to his shelf.
______
interestingly enough, the 'Cheers' directly above the one for Walton goes to Glenn Close for signing up for the new show Damages on FX: "The star, who burned up the small screen in her 2005 stint on FX's The Shield, will return to the cable network in Damages as a high-powered lawyer." Apparently she did so because FX is willing to shoot in NYC which might be indicative of the chances of her making an appearance in S7

Michael Chiklis is doing awesome work as usual, as well, but I think Walt's got the edge with a broader spectrum of expections by the writers. He's kick ass talented!
