Has anyone here seen the new DVD "Stewie ~ The Untold Story"?? Everyone knows Stewie from "Family Guy", right? Well, he was learning how to swim and he heard that if you had no hair on your body at ALL it would make you swim faster! So he strips down and climbs up on the sink, covers himself in shaving cream and he's shaving away when Brian walks in. Brian asks him if he's getting rid of a little hair, and then Stewie asks him if he'll shave his "coin purse"! ;D Oh God I laughed myself right off the couch. After Brian laughs and tells Stewie no, he leaves. Stewie goes, "Well, fine. It can't be all that difficult!". Then he shaves it and goes, "There!! Bald as Michael Chiklis! I say, they could be brothers!". Then they show Chik as Vic Mackey and the narrator goes, "Just when you thought 'The Shield' couldn't get any more intense, Detective Vic Mackey gets a visit from his brother!!" Then someone goes, "Hey Mackey! Your brother's here to see ya!" and Vic said, "Brother?? I don't HAVE a brother!!". Then they show a pair of nads in a police uniform by the water cooler. It goes, "Hello Vic!". Vic says, "Detective Scrotes!!". It was hysterical!!! Only thing missing was that they didn't have Michael Chiklis doing Vic's voice. They also could've made the animated Vic look a BIT more like Chik. Other than that....IT WAS FUNNY AS HELL!! Everyone should get this movie and watch it because it's really hysterical!

Wait'll you see the beginning when Lois gets out of a limo drunk and goes, "When I heard they were making a movie about my family, I said f*ck YEAH!!!". Then when she falls on her hands and knees on the red carpet and keeps telling Peter to "get on"!!! Okay, that's it! I'm not telling you anymore it will spoil it for you! My advice is to buy it ~ it's worth every dime!

Good Job, Shibby! Glad you posted the pictures! I can't believe that not many people had heard about the Stewie movie! Remember when Chik did the voice for "Big Fat Pauly" who was a mobster? We are also HUGE Family Guy fans in my house, as well as Southpark fans! My mother thinks I'm a terrible parent because I allow my kids to watch these shows ~ despite the fact they're 14 and 16. Hell, they've been watching them for at least five years now! On the other Shield board, people were shocked that I let my 14 year old watch The Shield. Well, it's like this ~ she sleeps with me, and I watch it. I found out after a while when she started spouting off things that had happened on The Shield that her little peepers were open during the whole show! We live with my mom so she doesn't have anywhere else to sleep because it's only a 2 bedroom condo. I tried taping it and watching it the next day, but she ALWAYS found the tape! What are you gonna do?

^I'd say that Southpark and Family Guy were perfectly acceptable shows for someone 14-16 to watch. The Shield is a bit different, but as long as a kid isn't being obviously disturbed or upset by it then I don't really see the problem. In my opinion at that age of between about 13-17 the more you treat someone like an adult the more they'll behave like one.

haha, theres no stopping kids. Ive been watching south park since I was in 5th grade, and even when my mom would forbid me to watch it, you would find me sneaking out of bed and downstairs into the tv room at 10 o clock. but the show actually tought me things, it didnt mess with my mind. Even today my mom gets annoyed when I watch the shield cause she thinks its violent ( and she got even more annoyed when I got my dad hooked on the show ;D), but its not like im turning out to be a bad person from watching these shows.
Ive also been a family guy fan since it started, and I had to rewind the shield part after I was done laughing to watch it again.
Vic: I told you I never wanted to see you agaiin Det. Scrots: yeah? well I got a listening problem

This is a sticky issue. I remember a huge fight broke out on another site when a guy (who was only 19 or so, himself) asked if we thought he should let his 10 yr old sister watch it with him. I think that's too young. There's always a line that has to be drawn somewhere! Sure, it depends on the individual. Basically, my premise is quite simple: let them be kids for chrissakes!!! Yeah, I know kids are already pretty savvy by that age (hell, at a middle school where I volunteered a few years ago, there were eight (yeah, 8) pregnant girls!!!). Does that mean kids should automatically be subjected to adult themes? Bad idea, especially if we're trying to impress their friends with how hip we are by letting them. My $0.02.
I remember when I went out to The Shield Set in Aug., '04, I chatted briefly with Glen Mazzara. My kids were with me, including my daughter, who was 12 at the time. I quipped to Glen that I don't let her watch The Shield. He replied that he doesn't let his niece watch it either! (I don't remember his niece's age for sure, but it was +/- 1 yr. of my daughter's).

I think the reason I've let my daughter watch it is because she's really smart and she knows it's only a TV show. It's not like she's going to go out and shoot anyone. What's really funny is when her friends ask her who her favorite actors are. They're into Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher, etc. She likes Michael Chiklis, Kenny Johnson, and John Travolta (BIG "Grease" fan!!). Her friends are like "HUH??!". She likes wearing her Shield shirts to school because all of her teachers tell her how cool they are. Basically, I think she watches it just to drool!

Yeah I recognised chiklis voice when the shield started in the UK and it took me a while to work out where I had heard it!
My kids only 4 so I don't let him watch the shield, but trust me if you weren't there watching things like family guy and southpark with your kid they would watch it anyways!
It's better to have you there explaining things to them

My daughter is 9, and is simply addicted to Law & Order! There's not an overabundance of violence on L&O, but there ARE the scenes at the beginning with finding the body/ies and much detailed discussion of what happened to them. It bothered me when she first started watching the show, and I forbade it for a while, but I gave in to her persistence and I've seen no adverse effects in her. She loves Jack, and won't watch the eps if he's not the prosecutor. It kills me!!
She is also a big James Bond fan. Roger Moore is her favorite! I don't know how this happened, really... because clearly, Sean Connery is the greatest Bond ever!! lol

Hey, E, bravo for your daughter loving L&O--as you know, I'm a L&O junkie ... all three of them. In fact, I was pissed when they canceled Trial By Jury instead of moving it to a better time slot.

OMG! My oldest daughter, who's 16, is addicted to Law & Order and Law & Order SVU! I like Det. Stabler. You know what I think is really stupid? My mom loved Michael Chiklis in The Commish, but will NOT watch The Shield! She thinks it's too graphic and she doesn't like Chik since he went bald. If she only knew what she was missing!
