Saw Chiklis last night on IFC, The Henry Rollins Show. Please tell me someone taped this and is willing to send it to me!!!! He talked about he and the actors of the strike team being close, and that understanding that level of bonding was something that Rollins could comprehend having been in a band, on the road, etc. That you become so close, seeing eachother cry, see eachother naked, etc. It was as close as he would come to actually talking about how he felt emotionally about Lem's having been killed by Shane. I was sick during this show, did not record it, someone please find it for me. Please......

Thank you, yes that helps. I suppose I could have looked it up on the IFC website, huh? If I hadn't been so sick to my stomach, I would have been awake to record it and would have been able to pay more attention, I wish the post were more complete with a run down of what he talked about, it was 15-20 minutes worth of a good interview--Rollins is cool as hell. Thanx--I will commandeer my friend's tv again and record it this time.

I actually always thought Rollins would have been cool on "The Shield". But, to see him and Chiklis together... two beefy dudes (I happen to love) just talking guy stuff would have been awesome.

There was an episode of Dinner for Five, also on IFC, that had Chicky and Rollins, and Luis Guzman. I can't remember the other guy's name, some executive. It was a good show.

I hope I don't offend anyone.... it makes no difference to me if the man has fans, and I still love you all if you like him.... but I just have to say that I CANNOT STAND HENRY ROLLINS. I think he's the biggest phony piece of shit that ever walked the earth. Wow.... I feel better. For example...... Lollapalooza, July 20, 1991 - Blossom Music Center, Cuya Hoga Falls, OH: Rollins Band was the first act. Before the show, Henry appeared off stage right (the audience's left), down on the sidewalk that leads backstage, and proceeded to assume the Lotus Position. He sat there like that for about 15 minutes, then got up and went backstage. Why did he choose to do this out in the open for everyone to see instead of choosing a quiet place out of sight? Because he wants everyone to think he's sooooo cool. Also, several months prior, Rollins Band and Jane's Addiction played in Huntington, WV. My friends and I stood front and center. When Henry sings (if you can call guttural grunting "singing"), he straddles the amps in front and gyrates himself all over the place. Henry doesn't wear underwear, and we all got more than we wanted. Ewwwww... his sweat landed on me and I almost threw up..... or was that the Codiene?? (I had a broken arm at that time.) I don't know; I just get the creeps whenever his name is mentioned and I was just compelled to share this with you guys; don't hate me. I don't think I could watch his show, even with the ChikGod on there.....

It's all good--you have to try harder than that to offend me. There is a funny song called "Henry Rollins is No Fun" by a band called Chixdiggit. Henry is a very dogmatic fellow, and that can be very offensive.

I've met Henry, and he was absolutely the nicest guy I've ever met; and he's extremely intelligent, too. Who cares if he's a little strange near the stage?

It was as close as he would come to actually talking about how he felt emotionally about Lem's having been killed by Shane. Has any of the actors besides Kenny Johnson been quoted in the media on Lem's death? I can't remember any.

He's A LOT strange, and came across as totally fake and shallow. I realize he's a smart guy and all; I've read some of his poetry/commentary/spoken word stuff. He puts a lot of thought into what he says and does, which is why I'm befuddled by his public meditating....
And come to think of it..... no, I haven't really heard/read/seen any other actors comment on Lem's death; hmmmmmm.....

Kenny Johnson said in an interview (I think with Mancow, it might have been another morning radio show interview, that Chiklis called him after the episode and they talked for a couple of hours working through it emotionally. I should research what I post about better, and offer the link; but I'm relatively certain that the link I followed came from this site....so you've probably already heard what I'm referencing.

He said taht in the one he did in late March with 'The Bob and Dan Show.' The link is in the "Interviews" thread, pinned to the top of this board (APBs).

I saw him on both the Rollins and Dinner for Five. He was great in both. He talked almost the entire time on Rollins about The Shield and the guys, but on Dinner for Five it was mostly about FF and his fear of that damn suit! He was really hot in both too!
I agree with you too E, I only saw Rollins a few times, but honestly, he doesn't impress me. Although I am thankful that he interviewed Chik:)

IFC seems to have good programming. I lucked out, with that Dinner for Five thing because I am a Henry Rollins fan--I don't collect him and follow his career like I do Chiklis, but I like him. His opinions are not always mine, but I like how he stands. I ended up getting the interview taped, and I have a collection, does anybody out there have the recent talk shows from this year, like Jimmy Kimmel? Best Goddamn Sports F*cking Show that I never catch when he's on it? I think there was a Today show I missed too.
