Kenneth Johnson guest stars on Cold Case this sunday may 21. He plays the victim Joseph in this episode. Below is the episode summary.
When the victim's debit card is suddenly used a year after his death, Lilly re-opens the 2005 case of a counselor at a teens' rehab center who was shot to death just two days before he was scheduled to testify in a murder case. During the probe, Lilly feels a strange connection to the victim, and her personal attachment may end up jeopardizing the case.

I just wanted to say that I thought Kenny Johnson was wonderful in the role---to say that I was thrilled to see him in Cold Case, a show that I enjoy for its own sake anyway---is an understatement. He brought heart and that great subtle contradiction of gentleness and intensity to the part, and brought to life a character that was very convincing at melting the ice that makes up Lilly Rush's walls. I hope that there will be a repeat performance for his character when the show returns next season! Brava to Kenny!

I usually tape Cold Case because my daughter and I like to watch it together, but this week I forgot! I was mad at myself when I realized it earlier this evening ... now that I found out KJ was in it I'm REALLY mad! grrrr!!!! Guess my punishment will be checking every week to see when it will be rerun.

So his character was a gentle, caring individual (who loves kids) who ends up getting killed so he won't be able to testify for a murder rap? Hmm... KJ sounds like he has great range

KJ sounds like he has great range You forgot the best part---his character had a 'problem' with heroin! I had to wonder if the chosen drug wasn't a tongue-in-cheek ode to Lem. And man, chemikalman...I'm sorry that you missed it, especially as a fan of the show in general. It was a great showcase for Kenny and a deeper look into a more vulnerable Lilly, a nice connection between the two. I hope that it will be run again very soon!

He wasn't killed. His foster brother was and they assumed it was him. He was in hiding.

DAMN I can't believe I forgot. I guess I'll have to wait for reruns. I am going through some serious Shield withdrawl that I popped in the dvds last night. waiting for the new season is KILLING me damit. I forgot, too! I never watch this series but I did have it marked on my calendar. Pfffft! Does someone have this ep recorded, per chance??
I can relate to the withdrawal pangs, M4M! I allllllllmost went for the series finale tape on Saturday. Like, I walked toward it (on my dresser, where I left it that night) but stopped. I just can't bring myself to watch it again... at least not yet.

He was Lem. The character was the same. If anyone wants to think that Lem is still alive, just watch the rerun of this when it comes on. Lem didn't really die... He just went to work at a rehab place and then went into hiding (and changed networks).

Like it was said above, one can almost believe that Lem is alive, well, and living a comfortable, albeit reclusive, sexy life...with cats!...after watching that character. The same nobility as Lem, the same amazing paradox of gentleness and intensity...the same soul shining through. Very, very worth seeing. Very, very worth swooning over. I would have to beg for the tape to be returned though...*sniffles*...The Scene (and the Season Finale) of The Shield is on there, too, and though I should not watch it...I sometimes feel compelled to and have to lean on the tape as a crutch until those darned DVD's come out. I felt compelled to watch it this Sunday before Cold Case, and...follow your instinct, CHIKchick. It's too soon. *sniffles*

I will not borrow something so precious and rare! <--seriously Heckfire, I wouldn't lend it out if it were mine!!! I can wait, as it's my own fault for missing the ep. Just happy to hear our Lemmy is alive and well in another realm.

Man there were like 5 shield characters on that episode. Curtis, the chick from Bottom Bitch (s3e3), Ted Shuset from Man Inside (s5e7), Bonnie Wyms from Dominos Falling (s2e13), Armadillo from season 2.

Aw shucks He is friggin' hot, but he's more than just a pretty face... (a hot bod too, no?). I thought I responded to you, but apparently not... so anyway, I'm always happy to share. I had to take some screen caps of him, he looked absolutely gorgeous in so many shots, so I figured I would share the love

Here too Even though he's semi-old (sorry Kenny, lol, but he's almost twice my age...) he still looks gorgeous in every shot! Mmm Agreed Glad he was one of the un-dead victims on the show, heh.
