Man, is everyone on the rag or something? Holy bloated hippo! Everyone needs to chill out. Icy misunderstood Teri's post and Teri over-reacted to icy's response. That's how I see it anyway. This thread has been nothing but a pain in the ass ever since it was started on such a negative note. There is already an open thread on this movie (click here); I should have directed this conversation there in the first place... -Thread Locked-=================================== edit: for the record icy, i don't believe teri was talking about you specifically, although it does appear that way since she used a quote from you in her post. and teri, i did look at each post of icy's you mentioned here, and I don't feel that icy violated the rules. Maybe she wasn't terribly nice, but she didn't call anyone stupid or liken them to large mammals (my new litmus test). hopefully, you two can bury the hatchet; preferably not in each other's backs.... =================================== edit2: unlocked by request

Hey, Teri, I did misunderstand your post. You are right, I took it personally. That is what it sounded like to me. Sorry if you felt offended when I spoke to you. I do not want any hard feelings. If you will read through to the end of that last post I directed to you, it also stated that I would like for us to get to know each other better before passing judgement. I guess the ball is in your court, but my offer still stands. Peace out, Icy.

No shit. Several Rap women seem to be a bit hypersensitive this month.... self included. I'm a bit uptight about only having 5 more eps before the long break.... #kez_12#

Wow... I miss a few days and you guys have a flamespat without me! Looks like it's winding down already.
I will go to see Rise because I'll watch MC in any tough guy part--as long as he's not playing doughboys like The Commish! I like vampire movies, too. Been enchanted by them since I read Interview with a Vampire as a kid.
As for Goth stuff, I like black and black leather and love Stevie Nicks.... isn't she like a pioneer Goth? I can also be very "preppie" so I move back and forth a lot. I'll wear anything from a Harley shirt and jeans to Doris Day sun-dresses. I don't like the extreme version of Goth...like the club kids culture (some twisted cross between Cher & Bozo the Clown??) but they can do whatever they want. I couldn't care less!

Does anyone know what the hell Manson is talking about with the "sever my spine" comment? Does this mean the man would not have an erection during the severing of said spine; Or does he mean severing the spine with the soft penis?? That would be like cutting down a redwood tree with a walleye or lake trout or something. I think Manson said it to not make any sense.

“Everyone kept coming up to me on the set and saying, ’Look! Here’s the gun. It’s not loaded. Don’t worry,’” Manson recalled. But it wasn’t the gun that got to him. “I said, ’Listen. I’m not concerned about the gun — that guy [Chiklis] could sever my spine with a soft penis.’ He’s really intimidating and like so intense. I was scared straight.” - Marilyn Manson
Tsarina, it is my opinion that Manson was using very colorful language to say he was frightened of Chiklis during the acting sequence.

Mansons comments just show how intense CHicky is when he gets into a role. As if we did not know this from watching him for 5 seasons.

That's why it's so mind-blowing to see Chiklis in "The Commish" I had already watched three seasons of TS before I picked up TC...and I swear, I nearly barfed into my popcorn during the opening sequence!! I simply couldn't handle seeing Chiklis play a fat marshmallow, essentially the anti-Vic, and had to force myself through the set. Quite painful! He's truly a master of his craft.
I can hardly wait to see this movie. Tickles me bloody that Manson is unnerved by Mickael Chiklis... Is there a projected release date?

I kind of like goths. They are amusing to look at, just like guys who wear 12" tall Mohawks are. And some of the Goth chicks are downright provocative and sexy. I completely disagree that they don't feel comfortable with being looked at--I mean, isn't that the whole point? (again, just like the guys with the Mohawks) Granted, they may look alike, but the msg. I get is that they don't fit in with the mainstream, so they're gonna form their own little subculture to identify with each other -- AND they will try to make it as off the wall as they can just to rub it in. As long as they're harmless and nonviolent, why not? Like someone said the Abercrombie and Fitch crowd, and the Tommy crowd, aren't a whole lot different -- just different "uniforms." All of the above, by the way, are reasons why many school systems have gone to school uniforms. Those kids will really have a hard time showing how they are "different." Goth chicks are hot & slutty! I dated a goth chick once & she was awesome! The only inconvenience was, with all that white makeup & black lipstick, I'd end up looking like "The Crow" whenever we made out. It was a small price to pay for the other benefits though....

the obvious solution the next time you date a goth chick is for you to become a mime.

I can hardly wait to see this movie. Tickles me bloody that Manson is unnerved by Mickael Chiklis... Is there a projected release date? It's too bad that you view Chiklis' role in "The Commish" as him "playing a fat marshmallow". He was actually playing a small town police commissioner in that series. Maybe you are obsessed with FAT, eh? Chiklis truly is a master of his craft. When the role of "The Shield" became available, he decided on a healthy diet and exercise program. He mentally prepared for the role. He had never played anything this gritty before. Chiklis worked very hard for this part and won the role of Vic. At the time his role was the basis for the deciding factor on whether or not his family would have to move or stay where they were at. He went into this with determination to make a turn around for his family and his career and accomplished this. He is my hero for more than just one reason. But, I am never going to look at him and say..."Oh, he makes me want to puke because he was fat in that other show".
