Hello. I've taken over this board, as if you hadn't noticed!! lol I just watched Pilot again this week and it made me miss poor Connie! I began to wonder what the actress was up to these days, and here is some of what I found.... ---------------------------------------- Jamie Anne Brown was born in Parsons, Kansas and is the oldest of five. At a very early age Brown dreamed of being an actress. Pursuing her childhood dream, Brown moved to Los Angeles. In a very short time, she has already proved herself to be a very powerful and versatile young actress. Among just a few of her credits are Six Feet Under, The Practice and The Shield. This summer Jamie will be starring in an independent feature titled Automatic in which she portrays a young woman who learns how to accept love for the first time. When Brown is not working on a film or television project, she enjoys working with autistic children and also pursuing her hobby of sky-diving. ------------------------------------------ The link to the above bio is here. I also found some nice pictures of Jamie at the 2004 Premiere for 'The Notebook' here. She's wearing a great little red dress; her pictures are near the bottom of the page. It's a treat to see her looking so stylish. And brunette! She played war widow Marsha Shaw in that film. And I read on imdb.com that she is going to be in a film called 'Steel City' due out in 2006. Her imdb site is here.I'm glad to see she's still a working girl! Talent like hers should not go to waste..... E

I think this actress has been one of the best, if not *the* best, of the "guest" performers ever on The Shield. Though I would have to say all of them are quite excellent. The ep where Connie tries to kick after her mother dies and she needs to be clean to keep her son - is possibly my all time favorite. The acting between Brown and Chiklis is so moving and absolutely fascinating. They really bring out the best in each other. I was disappointed when "Connie" was killed, though. Too bad this isn't a soap; they could just resurrect her with some convoluted story about being kidnapped, recovering, coming back as business woman... etc! E, I am glad to see you being so active and putting some really interesting and useful info/news on here. Fun is fun, but we want to be edjukated Shield fans, too! More, More!

Zowie! Check out the pics on the second "here" link. She's gorgeous! She was always so tired and ratty looking as Connie. I look forward to seeing her in something else now because she is a phenomenal actress. E, I too really appreciate the work you've been doing with the blurbs and links. E must be for excellent! Oh, and I love your new avatar. Now let me guess... you borrowed a photo Chem took when he visited the set the second time. [The dude with the gun is Kurt Sutter.] The Shield writers sure get intense, huh! They really are under the gun to get those scripts written! ar ar ar
