I tuned in while the interview was in progress. Anderson was there mainly to promote "Hustle and Flow" but I was lucky because I got to see the part where Carson Daly asked him about his appearance on The Shield. He said he really enjoyed something besides comedy and mentioned how great it was to work with actors of the quality of Michael Chiklis and Glen Close.
Carson asked him if he'd like to continue with TS and Anderson replied he'd love to and they asked him back, but he DIDN'T say if he was going to be back. He looks to be pretty busy; he already has "King's Ransom" out this year and IMDb lists "The Departed" as filming (for a 2006 release).
He said the same thing Chiklis said in his recent interview with CHUD, that he's looking forward to a long-overdue vacation.

I've never seen Anderson as a comedian or even anything other than Antwon, so I was really into this "dramatic actor" thing. In fact, I still have a hard time picturing him doing comedy! Ironic. Kind of like meeting Chiklis as Vic and not being able to imagine him as some marshmallow like The Commish (ugh)... when for most of his fans, it was the complete opposite.
