Here's a audio clip of Kenny Johnson talking about The Shield on "The Bob and Dan Show." Never heard of this show myself.... www.bobanddan.com/media/sound/shieldtalk032206-2.mp3There are a couple minor little spoiler-type things in it toward the end, but nothing that will ruin next season for you. edit: click on it and choose "open" or "save" whatever. or right lick and "save target as" .... I've already scanned it for viruses.

I can't wait for the flashback scenes, I wonder what will be happening. And what a lucky bastard Kenny is, getting paid for the 10 episodes and not even half to work on them.

Great interview, thanks E!!!
Kenny said that they were thinking of killing off a different major character but then changed their minds.
I wonder if that's the character the Hoosier Joe spoiler referred to?

I found it interesting that he found out they were going to kill Lem on the day 5:01 aired, and he found out through "inside sources." Can't people keep their mouths shut? I mean, jeeeeez!

Thanks E!! That was great!
I laughed when the interviewer said, "It was a sad day Lem - Kenny." He called him Lem, heh. That's what I would have done. I refer to actors by their characters' names, most of the time I don't even know the real name of the person, lol. But this was just a slip of the tongue, still amused me.
I'm glad the others are upset by Lem's death and Kenny not being around anymore/as much.
I love hearing about the real relationship between Kenny and Walt. So sweet.
E - I agree about inside sources keeping their mouths shut. That would suck to hear about your (character's) death through the grapevine.
Kenny = sexy voice.
"We watch this. We don't think of you as Kenny Johnson, we think of you as Lem... and we think you're real." haha "Seriously, we're weird like that." *nods*
"I have it on TIVO, I might it watch again cause maybe you'll stay in the-" "Maybe you will decide the right thing.."
Thanks again for that ;D

No problem... search and share; it's what I do.
I also really liked that Kenny doesn't see any early screenings of the show -- he watches it on FX with us! IAR - I agree with you on the friendship thing... hearing about how things were going between him and Sha-- I mean Walton during the filming was awesome.

I can't wait for the flashback scenes, I wonder what will be happening. And what a lucky bastard Kenny is, getting paid for the 10 episodes and not even half to work on them. I bet he'd rather be on the set, doing his craft. Where else but Hollyweird would they fire you (essentially) but expect you to work another year AND do your best work ever... then have another employee blow up your job position, ask you to clean out your locker AND promise to pay you for another year anyway... damn! <Shows a lot of love and integrity, Shawn Ryan. I might forgive you.>
I love this clip! The back and forth between real fans and a character/actor, mixing up the "Lem's" and "Kenny's" and "I" and "he"....shows we all think of Lem as a person! And mutual respect for what we bring to each other on both sides of the screen.
I am also heart-warmed to hear Kenny/Lem's voice!! My heart did a little happy dance! Now, maybe, I can watch ep 11 again... someday.

Thanks, E!
Fantastic stuff... and I think I'm up to watching 5:11 again tonight... strange, I started rewatching S5 from the start, then stopped after 5:10... "Postpartum" is the first Shield episode I actually couldn't bear to re-watch the very next day. I wouldn't have expected that.
I guess listening to Kenny talk about it helped a lot.

I refer to actors by their characters' names, most of the time I don't even know the real name of the person, lol. I refer to people at The Rap by their screen names, even when I know their real name--unless I'm really pissed off at them. <doesn't happen very often>

I loved this, it was awesome and right on time. Hearing Kenny Johnson speak about his character's demise seemed almost therapeutic for me.
Thanks for the link.

Thanks for posting the link. I can't wait for the flashback scenes too, I'm so glad Kenny will be in at least one episode. That alone is worth watching the next season. I wonder who their first choice was, I bet it was Ronnie.
