This has probably been done before...But I've been here for a week and didn't see one.
Who's your least favorite Shield Character?
Without a doubt mine in Julian. Although I think he's a morally strong character, I can't stand him. That raspy-assed voice of his is annoying, and ruins every powerful moment his character has. I think he's a well-written character, but seriously...he's so annoying. Stop parading your morals and religon for a minute and realize you're an ass Julian! Don't even get me started on his handling of Tina. She's making a LOT of the same kind of mistakes he made as a rookie...and Danny cut him all sorts of slack. But does he try and be sympathetic and understanding towards Tina? NO!
I honestly wouldn't mind him taking a bullet and being off the show.

I disagree. Julien is a morally conflicted character, just like most others on this show. Vic and the entire Strike Team struggle trying to toe the line back and forth between good and evil on a consistant basis. Julien is just conflicted with his own values, religious, "moral high ground". Aceveda was like this, Monica was, many of the characters are consistantly like this. It's what makes the show so great; not one character is a cut and dry answer.
I f-ing hated Lainey Kellis (?). I thought the actress SUCKED, I thought the character did, too. She was too un-intimidating, boring, and didn't really seem like a character that could stand up to Vic; she seemed like (1) a female character that Chief Vic-um would stomp like a bug or (2) a female character too weak to stand up to Big Chief Vic-um and she would ultimately give in to him and he would hate f*** her. Just a graphic thought.

I don't much care for Corrine, honestly. She's never made up for taking the kids in S1 as far as I'm concerned.... But my least favorite -- it's a toss up between her and Mara. Hmmm. Maybe I'm just jealous of the Strike Team wives. BITCHES!

C'mon, guys and gals, we ALL hate Mara. She's an all too easy target. ;D I can't really say I dislike a particular Shield character (well, aside from Mara, of course , but hey, she serves the purpose). It's just that I noticed myself losing interest in some of the characters because there wasn't a decent storyline for them for quite some time. Yes, I'm talking about Julien and Danny. I used to care a lot about them from S1-S3, then my interest in them started to fade. I'm still hoping for their situation to improve, though.

I hate Mara!! But I think we all hate her so much, because she plays the part soo well. I hate her so much It kills me to say that, but if she was not a good actress we all would not hate he as much.
CCH Pounder has also provocted that kind of hate into me at one time(when questioning Corrine about Vic). So I guess the question is who do we hate as a actor/actress, or which character do we despise.
Character-Mara Actress(performance)-Glenn Close!

Hey, I think Mara's kind of hot, she's a bitch, but a hot bitch.
As for my most hatted character: Monica Rawling
She managed to slow down an entire season of the shield to a boring unexciting pace. Close just wasn't the right pick for the job in my mind.

Most hated character - Mara. And while that seems like an 'easy' choice, it's because the writers are doing a good job of making her hate-able.

I said that I met more than one Mara-like woman in my life, and I had to admit I can't watch a Mara scene without my eye twitching and screaming "Shut up! Shut UP! SHUT UP!" A sign of good writing... and good acting. Well, and a changed taste in women on my part.

Julian used to be my least favorite but after Tina went off at danny like that she chalked up some hate-points!
Danny is one of my favorites so it really didn't help her in my eyes, her being new I wanted to like her but now I actually like it when julian shouts at her ;D

I guess ill be the first to say Aceveda.
I cant stand all the self serving bull-shit he pulls. Dont get me wrong Benito does a great job playing the part, its just the character in general i hate. Even in real life i hate those sort of people.

Corrine... for the first three years. I am liking her a LOT more this year. At first she seemed like just another whiny cop's wife--demanding time Vic didn't have, nagging him, etc. Now, however, I am seeing her as a person with fears, insecurities, faults like the rest of us. Even though she betrayed Vic, I don't dislike her for it. I kind of understand why she did it.
And that scene between Kav and Corrine... wow. Acting at it's best though I didn't care for the pace of those scenes.

I actually thought that Corrines "acting" was some of the worse I have seen from her yet. COmpletely unbelievable from my standpoint.

Yeah...Mara is a complete bitch. If only Shane had worn a rubber, we wouldn't be in this mess w/ her. Fortunately, she's had almost no bearing on the show for the last two seasons.
The eps with Mara's mommy show us exactly why Mara became such a bitch. If I had a mom like that I'd probably be the same way. Nurture wins that battle over nature.
As for the aforementioned feelings about Capt. Rowling...I have to disagree. I think her character was a pretty hard-assed woman who got as far as she did because she didn't back down to anyone. She might have begged a bit, but that was not "weakness" it was her trying to play any winning combination of cards she could. I thought that whole season (minus a lot of the Antwon stuff) was some of the most believeable writing yet. I really felt like that kind of policy could be put in place in an LA type setting, and it would receive that kind of reaction as well. All in all, I really enjoyed Close's performance in S4.

The New Captain. I don't even know his name cause he is such a wanker. However, I do get a kick out of his geekiness once in awhile. ;D

I think Billings is really funny. Plus he's SO not worried about actual police things: i.e. getting new vending machines and leather couches for his office. The best part about him is that he stays out of Vic and the Boy's way. Can you ask for more from a new captain?
