Before the premiere of Season 3, I watched 1&2 back-to-back, but haven't been able to justify the time this year.
I've been going through the Season 4 box set from beginning to end, though. If an episode has a commentary, I listen to that. If not, I watch the episode traditionally. After each ep, I view the deleted scenes without commentary, then with. Can't wait to get to the Glen Close commentary episodes. I was so happy to see that she did those, because I was never quite sure of her feelings toward the show in general after the way things went down in Season 4 (on & off the screen). Happy to see that it was mostly an amicable split (I think).

I haven't had time to watch Season Four at all!! I've been so busy with the goddamn holidays and work that I didn't even feel excitment about Season Five until... TONIGHT! Shameful behavior for a professed Shield fan, I know... but I am getting pumped now! I can't believe it's finally here. Finally!
After Chem and Peach went out to visit the set in April (a trip I couldn't make at the last minute--a crushing disappontment, btw) I've had a sense of *forever*. That now would never come...and here it is! Weeee! ;D

For example, if they don't have Showtime, then Showtime OnDemand won't be available. In my experience, any other cable networks - FX, for example - haven't been available OnDemand. That's just in my area, though. Your area or your friends' area may be different, and may have FX OnDemand. Good luck with it, regardless - and hey, if worst comes to worst, a lot of movie rental places have started carrying DVD seasons.
