What do u think the guy's childhood was like? What led them to be the badasses that they are now?
1. Vic- Genearal all around Jock. Football captain etc. Kinda the guy who everyone went to to buy them beer(cause he had the hookups)
2.Lem-Surferboy that got busted for dealing weed in school, was then mentored by the cop that busted him and led him to the police force.
3.Shane-Redneck from a small town whose dad was a drunk and he did anythng and everything to get out of there.
3. Ronnie- D&D geek, nuff said.

Ronnie probably still plays D&D. I bet he grew that beard to be a part of one of those groups who do the re-enactments and everything. He probably also plays games like Warcraft and Lineage online which is probably why he doesn't have a lot of time to pick up chicks....

VIC - Broken home, dad beat mom and him up, this reminds me of Good Will Hunting; when his dad used to line up a belt, wrench, and stick and was asked to choose one, Will said something to the effect of, "The wrench." "Why's that?" "Cuz f*ck him, that's why." Broken home theory works for me because of his family life, protective but from a twisted angle point of view. In high school, wasn't so much the stud of the clique as he was the one who played hookey, drove out to the boonies to shoot beer bottles, etc. SHANE - Probably got beat up by guys like Vic and at one point had a life-changing moment where he started to stand up for himself OR someone helped show him how to stand up for himself, aka the Vic role. Interesting how the Vic-type character plays both the abuser and hero role here. LEM - Obviously the quiet leader, aka go-to guy on 3rd down plays as a tight end on his football's team. Dependable, doesn't really go out with the guys afterwards to the post party. Could have been prom king if he spoke out a bit more. Probably has a little sister to take care of. RONNIE - Face in the crowd, got straight Bs in school because he's smart enough to get As but doesn't care about being number one. Voice of reason. ******** Damn good thread, Ghost. --Dan

What about Tevon?? I forgot about him, R.I.P.
TEVON - Hung out with the wrong crowd. Not so much as by choice as by need. Always tried to break away from the mold but had difficulty. Matured, gained self-respect to do what his conscience told him. Out of all the Strike Team, I think he was the most true to himself.

I wonder if his character has the same affinity for Oriental rugs as he does? ;D

lem played lacrosse maybe football also, makcey played football wrestling and track (shotput), i gotta agree with ronnie and the d&d, and i bet shanes first car was a beat up camero, or an el camino
i dont think mackey cam from a broken home i think his mom was a stay at home mom, whiich is why he wanted corinne stayin at home, provides well for his mother c.i.'s. shane, maybe from a broken home, but i see him as living with only a dad, so maybe a run away mother, a mother who died, or maybe he was adopter or in foster care. ronnie and lem i kinda see as average, with ronnies dad havin a real good job, relating to science or technology
-just to add on to this, im glad tavons gone

Naa actually it was a good guess. I take it back. I like all your guesses though they are damn good. Ronnie I think is probly pretty crazy deep down though. He wanted the money train the most besides Shane.

In the later episodes of season 3 Lem said something to the effect of the strike team being his only real family, which means he may have literally not have had a family (like a foster kid or something) or his home life as a child was really messed up.

Say what you want about Ronnie, but he is the rock of the team, never wavering! Can hold his cool through the worst of it. handled the $$$ train well, calm cool and collected. The grunt of the team, actually does the legwork, which allows the team to be the badass' they are.

Honestly, I think Vic's dad probably walked out on him at an early age, maybe he never even knew his dad. His mom probably worked 2 jobs, leaving him to fend for himself. Probably got his ass kicked by local thugs because he was the runt of the litter, until he vowed to never let it happen again...and then he found the weight room.

We've got it bad, don't we? We're creating backstory. Very cool! I'll have to give this some thought and write later. (mind continues to race)

I know Vics dad was a bricklayer.
I know this because In cupid & psyco when he went to talk to one of the frat boys in the hospital the kid goes "My father is a lawyer" and Vic replies "So what, mine was a bricklayer"
Shane is most likley his own uncle being from the south and all.
Lem Ill go with ghost seems like hed be the surfer
Ronnie the D&D guy for sure.

Remember in S5, Ronnie said Lem's family was trailer trash, prolly spending all their $ on lottery tix.
