Lookin forward to some pics!! Hey Copper! My bro just surprised me with a Canon Rebel digital SLR! I wanted either a Nikon or the Kodak 14 megapixel but I'm not going to complain. ;-) It's a wonderful camera (but I do prefer Nikons) and still an excellent choice! I posted a couple close up picts I took with it and am very pleased! Finally figured out how to work it in the full manual mode too. I'll post some more when I get a chance to really get out and use it. Ky

Answer to one of my head-scratchers...how much money was left? I watched the last ep of season 3 the other night. Vic, Shane and Ronnie each have $65k left. They think it is nothing compared to the millions they had, but I'd sure take it! That would buy me a few pairs of shoes...

Ep 7 -- ok, I am thoroughly confused about the vehicles now. Was the car that burned up in ep 7 Vic's on-duty car only? He has a Navigator or something for personal use? Hasn't he used that numerous times on duty or just his "personal" duty use?
Also, Megan is in the scene with Dutch and Corrine. I thought the two youngest kids were going to live with Corrine's parents in another town, because that is where their new special needs school is. Or is that just Matthew? Or maybe they come home on weekends?
Megan seemed pretty interactive and expressive with Dutch. Did we ever find out if she actually does have autism also? Or is this just another level of the disorder? Is Dutch able to pull more out of her with his personality, like Matthew's former therapist/tutor? The latter would seriously complicate the Dutch/Corrine romance, of course!

I don't pay much attention to that since I know people with multiple personal cars! Out here people tend to have more cars than people in a home! ;-) (I even had 2 trucks for awhile) Plus I would imagine he likes changing periodically so people don't get use to seeing his vehicle and spot him easier. But that's just my take on it. ;-) dang, I gotta rewatch. I missed a few parts!) Don't remember but I'm surprised Corrine went for him. Thought she had more brains. Oh well. Ky

Questions on episode 7....
I didn't quite catch it, but how were Rawlings and Vic so easily able to tell that the tape from the Church Raid was modified?
How exactly did it portray Vic in such a negative manner?
Also another question... why was antwon asking Shane for $20000. Was it so Shane could buy out of the partnership. (Antwon was saying about wanting another partner) And was that why he was offering up the girl's body for Vic's?

The Church Raid video tape was "enhanced" by adding the screaming. When the actual raid went down, it was quiet except for the Rev preaching. No one was screaming and Vic didn't have a big smile plastered on right after he handcuffed a suspect. I believe Vic was gritting his teeth and turning to say something and see what was going on and they stopped it at that moment. It appears he has a big smile of satisfaction.
It's just like so many of those videos of police abusing handcuffed suspects. It looks like the police are taking advantage of a cuffed person but no one really knows what went on unless they were there personally. They say that the camera doesn't lie, no but the editors do!!

And they were there and commented that the people screaming, etc. wasn't like that. It made him look like he was really enjoying doing it. Esp with the way it ended and him smiling big after the arrest and destruction. Had I not known anything before and had no idea of what everything was about then I would have looked at that on the news and thought "that guy takes too much pleasure in that" and figured he was psycho. hmmmmm.... that one I don't know! And it's not just videos! I've made pictures lie pretty well too. (I've done quite a bit of photo manipulation in the past year for work) Unfortunately with technology now adays, the right person can make just about anything lie. Peri

I felt Vic really did have a huge smile on his face... I mean, it seemed geniune! That seemed odd unless he really was smiling. Ky, can it be doctored into a tape?
And I could imagine those people screaming when the police burst in...people do that...even thought they "didn't" in the actual raid.

And I could imagine those people screaming when the police burst in...people do that...even thought they "didn't" in the actual raid. All you need is a shot of him smiling. And yes, he did smile originally but it didn't seem so psycho in context. taking a scene and editing it in different ways will give totally different feels. And being able to imagine hearing people scream is what helps make the edited version so believable. It's the fact that there *wasn't* originally screaming and they know it that is a big clue that the tape's been altered. Ky

My suggestion to the Captain and the Team is to have their own video camera filming during such raids. It's commonly used in a lot of departments and I'm surprised that Rawling isn't documenting any of these raids I mean, they seem to like to video tape each other in their vehicles!!
Yeah, if I were the Captain, from now on, I'd have a photographer with me during any raid/seizure. CYA!!
We were always taught, "if it isn't documented then it didn't happen".

On the seizures, first of all are they really legal? Let's assume they are, I can't imagine the cops could seize property just on the basis of an arrest. Therefore, Aceveda's compromise of not seizing until the perp has been convicted seemed entirely reasonable. I mean, let's say their property was seized and then they were acquited ... wouldn't that just turn into a huge mess?

Hmmmmm. Siezures. Whether the suspects are convicted or not, if their house/property wasn't purchased with drug money, the property will still be theirs when they get out.
I can see Rawling's reluctance to change the policy, or make compromises. It's her baby.
And Aceveda's idea has merit as well, but I should think that proving they borrowed money to buy the home (here's my payment book), or proving they got it as an inheritance (here's my dad's will), or bought it with lottery winnings (here's my settlement agreement), would be rather easy. They could show they got the house legitimatly before they're ever processed, heard, or convicted.
Just a couple cents for the pot.....

I've been wondering...was any money left over after Lem tried to burn it? If so, do we have any idea how much and where it is? no idea where it is but there's $195,000 left It's being split 3 ways ($65,000 each) with Lem not getting any. Damn foolish to burn it mate.

Loose Ends Bug Me: 1) TAVON - WTF?! 2) What's up with Julian's wife and personal storyline? 3) Lem was w/Tigre and it just went POOF! 4) Has Ronnie EVER gotten laid? Poor guy deserves it! 5) Can we see Mara go bye-bye and have Shane be happy about it or something? She is a pain in the ass! 6) I want to see Vic teach the stike team how to play golf.
