In what way? The Rampart scandal was such a huge and complex series of smaller scandals. Give us some ideas of how you think the real life events of Rampart might play into The Shield. The end of "Strike Teams" as a policing concept, similar to the end of CRASH units? The end of The Barn itself? Yes, I would see these as a distinct possibilities. LAPD officers going to jail? Yes, distinct possibility. But other than these broad ideas, I'm not sure how any more detailed parallels could be drawn as the "crimes" committed by real-life cops and Shield cops are different (with Shield crimes often being more egregious). Some of The Shield cops' earlier crimes parallel some of the real life Rampart crimes, most notably how the Strike Team was on the payroll of Kern Little, similar to CRASH cops being payroll of "Suge Knight". But their more recent crimes (and Vic's original sin) are more over-the-top than real life. And obviously there are other similarities in terms of illegal shooings, beatings, and framing suspects. But these similarities are broad enough that they could compare to almost any modern cop drama. So I guess I'm not necessariy seeing as much direct corelation between Rampart fall-out and specifics of how The Shield might end.

Some other similarities, and these are very vague as I read alot and listened alot about the rampart scandal awhile ago, so the exact details I will leave out for now;
A cop that was involved with CRASH robbed a bank with the help of his girlfriend who worked at the bank. The strike team robbed the armenians.
A CRASH officer killed another officer (plain clothed) in an apparent road rage incident. But I BELIEVE it was later determined to be a murder. Similar to Vics original sin.
Those are two big ones that I can recall.

The officer who killed the other officer in the road rage incident was undercover at the time and was cleared of all wrong-doing, though that snake Johnnie Cochran did extort $250,000 out of he LAPD over the incident for the dead man's family. And, other than the fact that they were both armed robberies, I don't see much similarities between the real-life CRASH bank robbery and TS's Money Train heist.
