If Ryan started out in comedy, this project should suit him well. I see he worked on "Nash Bridges". Those guys are always cutting it up in the script and in "The Shield" there is some great humorous moments, some of which I'm sure Ryan was responsible for.
Although Ryan feels he is straying into new territory, I am sure he will feel right at home once he starts writing the pilot for the new show on A & E called "The Lead Sheet".

I am rewatching 5 right now, and I forgot how funny some of the lines were. Like when Vic gives Billings thumbs up, and says to the ST shove these up your ass. Or when interigating Casper "I get more black ass than a bus stop bench". Friggin hilarious.

IT'S PURE DARK HUMOR!!!!! ....when I rewatched it a few weeks ago...I was blown by the excess of ultra mega funny moments and LINES!!! shane shane shane........hajaa......
