Hi,
I'm Alex. from Fairfax, VA. I've been watching The Shield since last June. I was hooked by the first episode. When I can, I like to collect Shield related items. My prized possession are the set-used poker chips from the old S-Team clubhouse. After looking through a few Shield discussion boards, I liked this one the best. Look forward to talking with you all.

Welcome, Alex! Thanks for the nice words and we're glad to have you. I used to go to VA on business (Jamestown area) and loved it--beautiful state and full of history. I also had a one-time gig in Winchester, VA--really cool town. E, my comrade in crime on this board, is a die-hard West Virginian, btw.

Seen all of them and love all of them! Sadly, i don't have cable and had to wait for season 4 to come out on DVD. Thanks to i-tunes I won't have to do that anymore! I really think the Shield breaks the barriers for all/most crime dramas. Sure, there have been shows about cops that bent the rules but none about cops who break them (regularly). Thanks for creating a great forum for all of us, and I look forward to getting to know everybody!
PS. WVa is a really beautiful place! All the green is disappearing here in NOVa!

to answer Witchykitty: Fox TV has Ebay auctions for screen used props. Once in awhile FX unloads props from The Shield, Prison Break,X-files, etc. I think as the seasons wrap up they should be selling off some more stuff. It is a good source for fans to check out. I think past auctions sold off the S-Team clubhouse dart boards and wall pictures when they changed the set.

Welcome Margos! My niece and her hubby just moved to Virginia. I would like to visit sometime. I have a rappie friend that lives there, as well. Do you play poker? Wanna play a round for those chips? ;D

Glad you are here. I have family in the Norfolk/Va. Beach area and love it there. Didn't know about those auctions. Sounds pretty cool though.
