as in the mass murder dutch came across at the end of the first episode this season.
i'm gonna chalk it up to deleted scenes that will probably be on the dvd, but i think it's been probably the only weak storytelling that's ever happened on this show.
did i miss something? or have they really just not brought it up again since? i realize they're only 3 eps in, but still no mention of it at all just seems kind of weird.
i also realize this season is supposed to strictly focus on the strike team, but i'd just like to know what that was all about other than just making us all go "wow" when we first saw it.

It was brought up again in episode 2, when Aceveda told Claudette that all of the murders had been dumped on Farmington, despite them taking place in a "no mans land" between Farmington and Wilshire.
I've not doubt that it will be brought up again. The problem seems to be that, from that first scene, we all thought that this was the introduction to "Dutch's big case of the season", but since then they seem to have instead used it more as a political plot between Claudette and Aceveda. We've been expecting it to develop straight away into the new Sally/Cleavon/Cuddler Rapist plot, and its gone a different way so far, as Dutch's main focus is Lem's murder.
I'm sure Dutch will get back in the case at some point, but at the moment he seems to be too involved in Lem's murder investigation, especially since the revelation about Hernan.

I think that in Shield time, about 2 or 3 days have passed from episodes 1 to 3. So its entirely feasable that it will be brought up as a case for Dutch, and that they havent 'forgotten' about it.

It will be brought back up again soon enough. A little time away from it, in show terms, will give more of a feeling of "Oh $hit I almost forgot about that one" to some.

I know with Kleavon and I think William Faulks they introduced the stories then didn't talk about it again for a couple of episodes, let us also not forget that Dutch has another big investigation right now...the Lemansky murder...
