Anyone else wondered why Kavanaugh hasn't tried to get his bastard hands on Army?
He knows pretty much EVERYTHING which is why he bailed on the guys in the first place: to protect his lame-ass. Plus, he's not loyal to the guys, and he's a bity of a pussy...making him the perfect target for Kav to manipulate.
Then again...
I could totally be wrong. It's happened before.

It is bizarre how Kavanaugh made a deal with Antwon, a known cop-killer and general bad dude while not even talking to either Tavon or Army.
Doesn't entirely make sense. I suspect Army has completely moved on with his life and is somewhere else... Tavon, who knows, it seems as though the writers are completely done with that character.

Tavon wouldn't say anything because he thinks he's guilty of what went down with him and Shane.
Army would call his PBA rep and that's as far as Kav would get -- he'd have no more evidence than he would have on Shane for the Antwon stuff.
Thus, two dead ends.

That, and Michael Pena was busy while they were filming season 5.

What makes you say that?
He doesn't know about Terry, the money train or tons of other stuff.
The only thing he knows about is the Antwon stuff, and Shane has gone on record with a "legal version" of what happened, so thats not an issue anymore.

I do think he knows more than we were lead to believe. He more or less took the easy road out because he didn't want to be stuck in the Strike Team's earlier messes. I'm almost positive he makes an allusion to that. I'd have to brush up on those couple of eps to be 100% positive.
I have always been disappointed that Tevon was forgotten about.

With the way Shane was doing business with Army, he had to know that the Strike Team wasn't always on the up and up. Shane skimmed and scammed when he was with Army in S4 and I agree with jray, I believe an allusion was made to the fact that Army knew about the ST's issues.

Army knew about the Strike Team's reputation, and he had heard the same rumors everyone else had heard. I think that's why he wanted out. He didn't know explicitly what the Strike Team pulled and how illegal it all was. And I'm not just talking about the Money Train. I'm talking about the drug deals and Armadillo and all that. I don't think Army *knew* about it beyond what everyone else thinks.

as for Tavon, he never really knew anything about anything.
he was in on a lot of menial shit they did in seasons 2 and 3, but there would be no point in bringing him back just to say that he had no idea about terry/the money train, anything they were under investigation for.
i'm fine with them not bringing tavon back. i liked his character, but there's really no need for him anymore.

Exactly.
Like everyone else, Army knew that there was plenty of stuff beyond the Antwon dealings, but I don't think Shane or Vic ever said to him, "Oh yea, by the way, we murdered a member of the team in cold blood once, and ripped off the Armenian mob for millions".

The thing people MIGHT be downplaying is that Shane and Army were pretty tight during their stint together working vice. Shane wouldn't come back to the barn w/o Army. They were into some stuff together and I'm almost positive Shane once referenced how they did things in a conversation with Army.
Is it unfathomable that Shane told Army stories from the Strike Team's past? It wouldn't necessarily have to be about the money train or Terry, but even minor dirt might be enough to gain leverage on the guys.

Tavon, while not even mentioned in Season 5, will be back...why do I know this? I don't...it is just a fans wish...
