Is it me, or does this season feature the goriest/most disturbing cases for Dutch and Claudette so far?

I'd have to agree. They've all been pretty sick, but the baby's bones crunching... the whole thing with the baby, I laughed in a "holy f*cking shit" way. It was a mix of shock, disgust and intrigue.

The baby takes the cake. I think a close second was Marcy and her old man. Remember, the ones who dismembered the neighbor girl and had her in the trunk of their car? Something about that still gets me feeling a little uneasy when the neighbors knock on the door.

The Bob and Marcy case was really disturbing...as was the whole cuddler rapist arc. But this week's episode takes the case. It was really graphic. Vintage Shield though.

i thought marcy case was the most screwed up, since she toyed with dutch for the whole time, and the way she talked to him was really creepy at the end. i didn't think the baby thing this week was that disturbing, maybe it takes a lot to disturb me, but that really didn't.

To be interesting, crime cases really have to relate to or affect the cop (such as Dutch). In the past seasons, the personal involvement was terrific. It blew every other crime show out of the water. So far, this hasn't really happened yet. I'm a little disappointed.

Agreed Jimmy. Like when he was talking to the cuddler and then went out and killed the cat! WHY THE HELL WASN'T THAT EVER FOLLOWED UP ON!?!

What about the case that Claudette and Vic ended up working together on, in S1? Julien and Danni are in chase, the car crashes. They check out the trunk, and there is a seriously crispy critter in there, and then, HE OPENS HIS EYES!
Now that was one of the freakiest scenes for me, in Shield history.

Personally, I couldn't believe Danny let Dutch actually draw out on her pregnant stomach what he thought to be was the M.O. of the killer. Very, very sick stuff!!

Scared the stuffing out of my uber-protective daughter, who rolled her eyes when she found out I was just reacting to the show. And when Vic made the suspect "kiss your brother" that was intense.
