It's written in our profiles that the avatar size limit is 100x100 yet I see regular members with avatars with widths as much as 150. What is the actual size limit for regular members? Thanks!

It's supposed to be 100x100. Sometimes it depends on the browser you are using. E.g., with firefox photos will sometimes seem huge but become normal size upon hitting the refresh button. When E gets back home she might have a more thorough explanation. chemikalman, site founder and administrator

Also, e.g., icy's is 117 x 100. It might be a bug in proboards--there are other bugs I've noticed. Pics are supposed to be automatically resized. E says that that is only true in the actual post, not in the preview. I consider that to be a bug, too. In fact, sometimes I wonder if the auto resize is working at all.

GOOD GOD MAN!! You jump to the conclusion that there must be a bug in proboards ALL THE TIME!!! Chill... the resizing code works just fine. THERE ISN'T A BUG! If Cali were still around, he'd write me a code to have the resizing code affect the preview too. The avatars that are available as a part of this site are whatever size I made them at the time..... I'm talking about the ones you can choose in your profile. Those are uploaded into the forum and appear as whatever size they are in the photobucket account. When you add your own url for a custom avatar, the size limit is 100 x 100. edit: When CC dumped her photobucket pics, didn't you (chem) add icy's avatar to the list here in the forum? That's where yours is, and why it's larger than the 100x100 limit.... would explain icy's av size, too.

In this case, I think the preview pic should appear the same size as the post pic--else, it isn't really a preview by definition, IMO. Are you saying proboards has no bugs? Maybe you need the #chillpill# ;D And I really am very sorry about Cali ... that was a real shock. May he R.I.P. As far as my av and icy's av, as you recall I have had all kinds of probs with my av--you even had to go the support board to ask them what was going on. But let's chat about it rather than try to communicate here ... esp. when we're both dead tired!
