I appreciate your patience with all the changes going on lately! I'd like to get some feedback on the site guys. Are the pages loading in a timely manner? What do you think of the appearance? Need any avatars, smilies, banners? Of whom? Hey, Is the main graphic too big? What do you like about TSR? What don't you like? Do I ask too many Qs?? What?! Just tell me!!! edit: it wouldn't hurt to mention what browser, os, speed, etc. you are using.... thanks.

it looks good, E - I really like the new buttons - much easier to see and read and, for whatever reason, it's loading much faster than it did before Xmas - thanks for the hard work
(using Firefox, Mac 10.3, cable)
my only suggestion (and it's just an opinion): is there any way to make the '85 most recent posts' link just show the poster and a link to the message as opposed to loading up all 85 posts in their entirety?
(just asking)

I didn't want to complain, but since you asked...
The background (wallpaper/watermark) image of every page is missing from Photobucket so there's this horribly irritating "OOPS! My Image for this Link is no longer here" image underneath everything. It's very difficult on the eyes.
If you have 'Display Pictures' disabled as a preference in Internet Explorer, you'd never notice. But if Pictures is ON, you'll see what I mean.
Edited to Add: I'm using IE 6.0.2, Windows 2000 Pro, DSL
I had the same problem at home last night with IE 6, XP Home, and Dial Up.

Everything should be fixed now.... or maybe it will reset the next time you log in. it looks good, E - I really like the new buttons - much easier to see and read and, for whatever reason, it's loading much faster than it did before Xmas - thanks for the hard work (using Firefox, Mac 10.3, cable) my only suggestion (and it's just an opinion): is there any way to make the '85 most recent posts' link just show the poster and a link to the message as opposed to loading up all 85 posts in their entirety? (just asking) Thanks for the kudos.... but sorry; no, I can't make the 'most recent posts' into a list. The coding for that is done on the server side; nothing can be done on the user side to change it. We can hope that feature will be included in the next Proboards upgrade; whenever that may be.

Everytime I try and use the last 75 (or however many it is) posts it comes up 'search results' in the header, then it kills all of my internet explorer windows

The new look is the best yet. Bullet holes are good, background contrasts well. The most recent posts, no matter how many they are - 50, 75, 85 - are probably going to take a while to load, no complaints. There used to be some problems with Firefox on my end, but everything looks much better now. Thanks so much.

Oh noes! #computersmash# Anything but that!! So sorry shibby; that's no fun at all.... Thanks for letting me know, though. Hey, are you on high speed or dial-up? I'd really like to hear from our dial-up users on page loading times.... Dan, thanks man. I like it too. I do indeed appreciate yours and everyone's comments. Y'all keep it up now. Small change: I reversed the "lighting" of the old and new posts icons - the ones beside each board on the Home Page. Old/Read posts are now in color, and New/Unread posts are now black and white. It looks nicer to guests to see all the icons lit up, and I just like it better that way. So, if one looks black and white to you, it means you need to get into that board and read the new posts!

Bitchin' fine work, E! I think you've got a sharp look just in time for the season premiere! The font seems smaller though (or is that lack of oxygen due to hyperventilation as that glorious moment is almost at hand?) and I am not too crazy about the creamish color of every post now. That seems harder to read than the white was, but maybe that's just me. I lOVE the new skin. Works a lot better with the buttons and stuff. There's my techno-babble for now.

Thanks, CC!! I really like it...
The font size hasn't changed, but I can always make it bigger, doll. At the time of your post, the font color WAS 5 steps away from the stark white that gave me headaches.... I pushed it up a couple shades so it's now only 3 steps from white. Not a lot of difference, but it's as close as I want to get to that plain white. I've tried shades of grey; none looked right against both message backgrounds.... ::sigh::

I'm probably the only person left in the galaxy that still uses dial-up, but I have no problems at all getting to the site. Page loading times are fine with me. This is gonna be great! Many thanks to all who make it possible!

hey, Admins - I was wondering if you might be pruning the inactive threads within the various categories before the new season?
Not a gripe - just wondering - some are getting pretty crowded

hey, Admins - I was wondering if you might be pruning the inactive threads within the various categories before the new season? Not a gripe - just wondering - some are getting pretty crowded I've always wanted to do a periodic "clean-up" on the boards but other staff have felt there's historic value to the old threads. I'll mention it to Chem again and see what he thinks.
