It's an abomination that Michael Chiklis, CCH Pounder, and Walton Goggins, maybe even David Rees Snell did not get any nominations from the Golden Globes for this final season.
On top of the fact that the academy did not recognize The Shield for best drama.
Just stunning.
Unless I'm wrong that the voting might be for next year. Not really sure how it works, but what I saw today was insulting to the fans, actors and writers of the Shield.

I think it is for shows that aired this year, seeing as True Blood and 24 Redemption got nominated. Well, still, there is no excuse why there are 0 nominations for The Shield. I mean, they nominated House and Dexter, two shows that are far worse this season compared to the last one. Then we got True Blood, which seems nice but nothing too spectacular. Can't say anything against the nomination for Mad Men and never watched In Treatment. Still, we got 3 shows nominated that don't deserve to be called Best TV Series this year. 3 series that are taking up The Shields deserved spot. They also didn't mention shows like Breaking Bad or The Wire.

The first 17 minutes of Season 7 (included on the Redemption DVD) have been better than Redemption.

If you really think of all the shows you watched and if you were a Shield fan from the start, it's just an insult. I agree with the whole f_ck the awards mentality, but it's just insulting. Every single critic said it was the best way for the show to go out and in the end not even a nomination.
Just bullsh*t.
Everyone who asks me about this show I tell them to watch one episode and they are immediately hooked. No questions asked.
Shows how great this show is. I really don't think the Sopranos was that good compared to the complexity of the Shield.

I don't get it, they gets some awards their first season, now not even a nod in the last 6 seasons? WTF? It always seemed to me that when a show was done, it was a guaranteed nom and award, even if the season sucked. I guess FX just is not a big enough channel for some.

While I think a few members from the shield deserved more, this year Goggins deserved a nom and a win!

It's an abomination that Michael Chiklis, CCH Pounder, and Walton Goggins, maybe even David Rees Snell did not get any nominations from the Golden Globes for this final season. David Rees Snell definitely did not deserve a nomination. But apart from that, yes, no nominations is stupid. But I'm not surprised - The Shield hasn't even been acknowledged since it's first season (apart from Season 4 - I think Glenn Close and CCH Pounder both got noms then?). I guess its not trendy or quirky enough for the award ceremonies. No Michael Chiklis or Walton Goggins is ridiculous.

Damn thats just awful isn't it. I really do wonder who decided the nominations because Michael Chikilis and Walton Goggins absolutely deserved a nod, CCH Pounder to a lesser degree too.
I maybe a huge fan of the show but Im certainly not biased, how could they make an awful decision like that.
As an Irish man, I am happy In Brugge got a nod for Best Motion Picture in Musical or Comedy and Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson got nods for best actor too for it. That was a surprise but Im happy for them.

Annoyed, but not surprised. Of course Goggins, Chiklis, and CCH deserved noms. The acting from these three, especially in PSK and Family Meeting alone should have garnered them each a nomination. The Golden Globes suck hard. We know the awesomeness that is the shield. Apparently the nimrods that vote do not.
And just out of curiousity I wonder what episode or scene,or however it works, that each actor sent in for consideration? :: Wonders how she can find out:

I'd bet that is the whole performance .........not just ONE scene....
I want to take a beer with walt or chiklis...and ask them how they feel about the zero nominations for the shield....yea... I'd be royally pissed of...if I were a supreme f**kin actor....
f*ck LAURIE!!!!! ...dr f**kin house can f*ck himself
