The approach of the end of our beloved show is causing emotions to behave unpredictably. Everyone is anticipating a huge loss when it finally comes to an end. Some will handle it better than others. Another effect of the wind-down to the finale is that it induces manic-depressive tendencies. On the one hand we can't wait to find out what happens in the very last episode. On the other, we feel somewhat like we might if a loved one is facing the end of a battle against a terminal disease ... we know it's coming; there is nothing we can do to stop it.
Many people who had a curious obsession with spoilers throughout the past are now swearing them off--not wanting anything to spoil the element of surprise. There is even a thread in the snitches board in which former spoiler junkies are trying to help each other fight off their addiction. It's somewhat amusing but almost sad in some ways.
Here's the point I'm trying to get to: for the rest of the series even previews at the end of episodes (there are only 3 eps left that will have previews! ) will be considered spoilers. They can not be discussed in the Season 7 episode discussion threads.
I am aware that I said something quite different in one of my own posts. But I don't mind respecting the wishes of these new converts to anti-spoilerism. E deleted a number of posts in the discussion thread of Moving Day because they were about or discussed the previews. I'm sorry for those of you who were upset by this, but it's done ... deal with it. I lost at least part of a post, myself. I've heard comments about inconsistency and will own up to that. But hasn't even the venerable U.S. Constitution been amended ... how many times now? That means some groups of people found it was inconsistent with the changing times.
So, we ask patience, friends. We are but mortals doing the best we can. Would that this be the greatest difficulty we face in our lives -- think how fortunate we would be.
