This is a test poll to see how the recent ProBoards upgrade handles polls, and to see if any of the codes I've put in the headers/footers interfere with the new poll options.
Here's the way this poll has been set up:
You may choose 2 colors. You may retract your vote before the poll is closed. This poll will automatically close in 2 weeks. You won't see the results until after the poll is closed.
So, please vote so I can get on with it! lol

A reminder: the polls don't work with Firefox. You have to use Bill Gates' monstrosity.

^ That may be a coding issue.... I'll see what the Support Geeks (I say that endearingly) have to say about it.

I picked my two favorite colors: BLACK and BLUE just like the way I am going to beat the shit out of the next person that looks at me funny.

I don't think you should be able to retract your vote, and I would like to see the results AFTER I have place my vote. Just my .02

^ Hmm. I like that we can see who's voted, but I don't like the fact that we can't see what the results are until after the poll is closed.
I also like the multiple choice option, especially for "What's your favorite. . ." questions. I hardly ever have an absolute favorite anything.

^ Only staff can see who has voted.
These are just the options I chose for MY poll. I don't give a rat's arse what anyone else would prefer. Make your own poll and select the options YOU want.

^ Oh. I thought this was a test to see if we liked the features of the new poll; not just to see if the poll works.
It works.

I don't think anyone was dogging you about this poll experiment, E. We were just commenting on the features, I think, because we thought you wanted us to... like to see what we wanted in future polls. Of course, the Goddess has final say!
And I didn't realize mere members could establish a poll, or were you addressing moderators?? I am so confused. I better shut up now!

There are many new poll options... and I believe any member can create a poll in this board. You can let voters make as many choices as you want, you can hide the results until after voting or after it's closed, or if it ever closes at all. You can also allow voters to retract their votes or not. Make one and choose your options! Sorry if my dryish sarcasm didn't come off as such... I wasn't being oversensitive or anything - or was I? ... ... Actually, I DO care what y'all think!! khcameron... what browser are you using? I haven't heard of polls not working with Macs... I'll look into it.

Sigh. I was able to retract my vote using Firefox, but I can't revote. Is that a word?

I don't think you should be able to retract your vote, and I would like to see the results AFTER I have place my vote. Just my .02 OMG! We agree on something!! Make that three of us. If I come across a poll with different options I will "vote" to not participate in it. Of course, the Goddess has final say! Sort of, but not exactly. And I didn't realize mere members could establish a poll, or were you addressing moderators??
Currently, this board is set up so regular members can start a poll.

I'm not really concerned with how anyone would have preferred this poll to have been done. I only made this poll to see how the new options worked. I wouldn't be able to see how the new options worked unless I had "programed" this poll to have those particular options. So, if you are refusing to participate in the poll because you don't like the options, then don't bother posting here because I don't care about that. Thanks. ;D
edit: The poll creator (in this case, I) can see the results as soon as someone votes. The poll creator does not have to wait until after said poll creator has voted, nor after the poll is closed in order to see the results.
edit2: We currently have a tie between 2 colors.
edit3: Only voting for 1 color did not give that color 2 votes, as I thought it might. In order to now vote for 2 colors, I would have to retract my vote (again) and revote for 2.
