Oh, forgot to mention: don't think I didn't notice that Pink Floyd was singing the word "cage" just as the pic of me in the Barn's cage came up--that was beautiful.

Wicked cool, IAR!!! I knew this was coming, but I didn't realize how effing KICKASS it would be. Great idea, icy... and killer song! Nick, I don't tell you often enough that I love you. I do. I take it for granted that you know that... this website is more than just a fan forum to me. It's my passion. I love it!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY SOUL for allowing me to go to LA with you... not just once, but twice. And thanks for everything you've done, do, and will do for all us freaky Shield addicts! I have met the WORLD'S COOLEST PEOPLE through TheShieldRap... the greatest of them being you, sir.

I am relecutant to post here because it shows up as the latest post and brings more attention to myself. I mean, yeah I have an ego, as E knows but I feel awkward having a lot of attention. I feel like the coach of the Lakers (go Lakers in the NBA playoffs!!), meaning I've got a great, great team. E, my global mod, who is responsible for this site taking off in membership and so many other things. We only had about 30 members for several months until she came along. Not to mention all the coding she took it upon herself to learn and that makes the board function. Of course, she was gonna go to the set with me two years in a row! You know I love you, too, Sara (without the "h" ). We've had our spats, for sure, but this is gal is all woman--about the most passionate woman I've ever known. Her new bf is one lucky dude. Then there's SYT, IAR (Megan), and her graphics wizardry--she won the home page graphics contest and the buttons at the top of the home page are her doing, not to mention all of her incredible Shield Tribute videos. And there are all the mods who help me run a clean ship (again a basketball analogy: a college team that doesn't break the rules--in our case, we don't support or tolerate copyright infringements that harm the creators of this show that we love so much). The moderators keep their eyes peeled for stuff like that and to make sure people generally behave nicely on the board. Plus, they are a fun bunch to know even though I am old enough to be .... well, never mind, heh. As for this video IAR put together: I never saw it coming. I mean, my birthday isn't until June! The only bad thing about it is that I have to see all those pics of myself. What really showed some love is that IAR even included a pic with herself (with me and my son) and I know how she doesn't like to be seen on camera--love you, babe! Anyway, I sure don't want anyone to feel like they have to post here ... but I had to say these things. I know I rambled but I'm not gonna look back and edit. Anyway, I have to hustle to get to work--it's a big day for our group at work. Yes, a Saturday, but there's no rest for the wicked ... or for the "bad" god. ;D

Wow, Chemikalman, you made it to YouTube!! Now THAT is fame!
It's a lovely and loving tribute, IAR. Very well executed! I absolutely *love* that b&w shot with Chemikalman looking at the camera and Chiklis on the outside of the window. It's something you'd see win a photography award!
I am glad to see E in almost every picture too. I know she's done a lot of work here and breaths true passion (sometimes fire!) when it comes to The Rap.
Great work, everyone who has made The Rap possible for the rest of us.

Great vid, IAR. And I have to agree the song was perfect for our fearless leader who without him, none of us would be here today talking about our favorite show.

^ Actually that was Shawn Ryan on the other side of the window in that pic, not Chicky.
Fantastic tribute, IAR (although I did wonder what chem would think of all those pics of him!! The one in the cage was particularly ferocious. You should just post that pic whenever you need to put the smackdown around here. )
Once again, I need to add my thanks as well: first of all for this board, which I came to in desperation for some good Shield chat after suffering on the imdb boards; and then of course for allowing me on the last set visit trip (and thanks, IAR, for not putting too many shots of me in the tribute! . And also for providing me an auxiliary forum for MLB/Red Sox chat, which I also don't get enough of in my life. Where would I be without chem? I shudder to think. . .

Wow chem, great thank you speech! I'm glad the video came as a surprise, that WAS the point! Icy approached me with it as a "top secret" mission ...so I'm glad it was unexpected. It was actually done for a couple weeks (though some minor touches were added towards the end), but I forgot to post it... then you went off to Houston, so we had to wait to make sure you'd be around to see it! Yes, I'm glad you noticed that I included myself -- just for you! I almost pulled that clip out, but I had to be in your vid! So I'm hoping no one else notices <ahem> eekay - I almost sent you a PM to make sure it was OK to use your pictures, but I figured since you posted them, you wouldn't mind?! Although it's been said many, many, many times THANK YOU so much for allowing me to visit the set! That was so unbelievably amazing, and so out of character for me, but it will remain one of my top 5 BEST moments ever, I'm sure of that! ...and thus, you will remain forever in my memories! I suppose I will end it here. I hope the video can further say what I cannot!

WOW! IAR, that was freakin awesome! Great job. Chem, I gotta add my thanks in here too! E lured me here with photos of a set visit and KJ *swoon* (thanks E), but I think when I answered the intro questions about how I found the shield etc Chem was one of the first to jump in and reply and welcome me.... and I never looked back! I know we've had our (massives) ups and (minor) downs and you've been an awesome ear to listen to my problems and one of the best advice givers without judging my little aussie arse! Mate, one day I hope to come to the US and buy you a beer, or 10!! Love ya heaps! Dammit, ya know I love everyone here!
