It was a late Sunday evening in January of 2005. I was at my computer wasting time until the next Shield episode aired. As I stared blankly at my computer screen, dreaming of Vic Mackey's next confrontation with Cavanaugh, I heard someone enter the front door of my house. "Odd," I thought, "My roomates are all out of town for the week." I waited to hear one of my roomate's voices, when suddenly a man dives into my room, combat rolls to a strategic position behind my dresser and points a gun at me. "You! At the keyboard. Navigate your Internet Brower to this website!" He tossed me a piece of paper with a scribbled URL on it, leading me here. After I found the site, he put the gun to my head and made me register myself. Once the intruder was confident I had registered to this message board, he left me with a command, "J-Ray, you will post to the interrogation board the minute I leave. I'll be watching you!" "Yes, whatever you ask," I feebly reply, not used to having handguns pointed in my face. As he was leaving my room, I called out, "Would it be allright if I changed my pants first, Dtpollitt? With all that barging in here and waving guns, I kind of messed myself." "Sure, J-Ray. Just post to the damned board," he said his voice trailing off. "What an a**hole," I thought to myself, "All he had to do was call or IM me and I would've joined."

CONFESSION: Yes, that was me that "combat rolled" to jray and made him type the URL (into FIREFOX, not I.E. [?!]).
Incase all you TSR-ers haven't figured it out, jray is one of my good buddies and Shield fans. He's a big idiot and it took me this long to get him on the board...
jray has been watchin the show for quite some time, I think it was I who originally got him hooked?! He's an acting major, needless to say his mind is a much welcomed addition to TSR. Congrats buddy.

Well, For the record, I have a soft spot in my heart for Opera. Those mouse functions are great.
And let's talk once again about the real hero - Dan - who not only turned my onto the Shield back in 2004, but got me to join TSF, and now TSR.
What would I do with all the freetime if I wasn't on a Shield Board? I don't even want to find out.

Talk about a flamboyant introduction! That is the kind of entrance I would expect from Errol Flynn if he were still alive. Welcome to our kinky little corner of the world, jray. I think you'll fit right in.

Yes, he could have IM'd you, or send you some enthusiastic email about us, but you'll never forget the way you were introduced to TSR... when you are eighty and senile, you'll still be telling some buxom nurse about it (probably several times a day!)
Welcome to TSR!
Now, Dan... don't you have a new puppy to look after? What were you doing out and about, playing combat recruiter, when you should be doing some high level potty training maneuvers??

First, I try to take after Vic and the Strike Team with my unorthodox recruiting methods. Second, my puppy was playing guard dog - he went up the ladder and took out the drug dealer, then shot Terry. I took care of J-Ray.
