I would also like Tomas to come back if only to stir the shit pot... That is the one person I don't want to see come back. I think that story has rapped up. Julien has already gone thru enough shit from that whole fiasco.

Julien has already gone thru enough shit from that whole fiasco. I agree, he already came back and did that dance earning Julian endless hazing and even a blanket party. If the writers want to have Julian sneak out of the closet a few times that would be fine, but they don't need to bring Thomas back for that. He's not the only openly gay man living in LA.

Yeah, but Julian's not slutty. If he were gonna "sneak out of the closet" on his wife, it would have to be with somebody he has a lot of history with.

I'm not so sure. He didn't have any history with Thomas when they hooked up in S1 -- and they got to business in a rather timely fashion too. With Julian it's all about repressing his urges. Once he can't do it anymore it'll be all about satisfying the urge. It could even be an interesting subplot to see him start frequenting gay joints and then offering lame excuses to his wife about where he's been etc. But that's another topic for another thread.

I'd love to see just about anyone of these characters, but my favorites would be
- Trish from the Decoy squad. I thought her and Vic might hook up.
- The domestic violence counselor
- The K-9 lady.

I want to see more of the pet cemetary guy. He was cute! Heck, HE could have been the father of Danny's baby... what a wasted opportunity.
And the angry muslim widow...after Danny shot her husband, she warned Danny that "justice will find you." I was hoping more would come of this ominous statement but I guess the writers are leaving that up to Allah.

Here's one that I've always wondered about:
Cacuza (sp?) She's the gal who was generally in charge of the evidence locker. There's a number of times that the boys try to sweet talk her or work around her, but why? Is there some history there maybe with one of them? Maybe she's got a reputation of some sort? She was cute...maybe she had something to hide?
I definitely would like to see Brian, Connie's Kid again. Vic said he was going to check up on him...but after he does...we never see him again.
Another character I really liked that would be a great come-back-for-a-few-eps-to-bust-a-bad-guy-who-will-only-deal-with-him character is Gannon, from the flashback ep. He was a really funny guy, and seemed to be a pretty good detective. It would be neat to see him come on for a few in some sort of role...maybe even interim advisor or capt. or something!
One more:
The Korean Guy Aceveda went to school with. He was the one kind of helping to protect the K-Town Killer Kim, while the ST was trying to get him. From everything he said, he wanted into politics. It would be kind of cool to see him square off w/ Aceveda again. Plus, I really kind of like Daniel Day Kim. He has a rather silent presence that I enjoyed.

i gotta agree with the people who wants more of the Decoy Squad! i'm a Trish and Waylon lover! actually i would've liked to know more about them two, they also seemed to have a great "Team-thing" you know? especially by the way Waylon shout at Claudette. yeah i'd also like to see Bottom B*tch again, i gotta say i found Vic's line very powerful (like they usually are!" :"you all find a way to kill yourself" i think it was...i sometimes wondered what she had become!
well...it'd be nice to see Tavon again, at least at Lem's funeral...
Cacuza was really funny! i think funny because she actually reminded me of a teacher i have! a little small woman who never laughs and never take shit from no one!!
actually, i must say i agree with everyone!!! (except for Lanie Kellis...)
and yeah it would have SO much surprise if Taylor had been the father! you know i actually made that believe to a friend i was watching Th Shield with and who kept asking ang asking and asking if the father was Vic *she wanted it to be Ronnie!! don't ask me why!*
you know there's a character i thought of many times because Vic got really down in my esteem after doing what he did...you know the Armenian girl whose sister gets killed by Margos, and that Lem tries to save? then she gets to the hospital, Vic hugs her while Lem is behind full of the girl's blood. then after he kills Margos, she doesn't know how to thank him (i mean, that how i thought it was) and they have sex...a sad way for her. not to say that i want to see her back, but with a very very very very small part, she brougt a lot our perception of the character i thought...to mine at least.

I was just thinking about Cacuza, and where she went. She seamed to vanish. I only remeber seeing her in S1.
and
BRING BACK VAN BRO.

I am sitting here thinking about who I'd like to see more of and I honestly can't come up with any particular character...
IMHO, while it is good to see the characters of good actors develop, I think resurfacing a lot of these characters would be stale to the development of the show. Of course there are story arcs that need to continue or be closed off, but I don't think the minor characters are required to do it.
Characters such as Ronnie are due to step up, which in turn develops the character. Characters like Van Bro are cool, and could pop up again, but not in developmental way. Characters like Tavon I think we need to move on from. He was a good strong character (not to mention hot as!) but what can actually develop here that adds value? well apart from add to the detriment of Shane and his skank, Mara - I think Shane now has enough on his plate without bringing Tavon back...
Don't get me wrong, cos these roles are crucial to the show, they help to piece things together, they certainly add value and help to develop roles of the main characters. I just don't think there's room for them as individuals to develop.
That's my 2 cents anyhoo... what gets me thinking is what do we actually know going into the next season? Eg, most things wrapped up albeit nicely at the end of season 4 except for Lem and the H. We knew something had to happen as it was the only thing left 'open'. I mean of course there was always Terry's death, the money train etc etc, but they had been wrapped up.... Now, going from s5 to 6 there is a helluva lot left 'open' not just the gaping hole in the strike team.... I just think there's too much else going on!
Ok, I might be up to 4 cents....
Maybe I'm just putting too much thought into it, or it's getting to the end of the day and I can't be bothered working! ;D

Yep, I have to agree Ronnie and Tavon should have had more focus. I think starting on season five they finally moved Ronnie in the starring lineup, he's always been just a guest star. And I loved the Decoy squad and I wish the Strike team had lost the bet and had to streak through the barn.

Ronnie sure as hell has not developed. Yeah he has gotten more airtime this last season, but what do we really know about him? He is the solid rock of the team, well educated, the tech guru. But what about his family? He is not married, girlfriend? Does he even go on dates? He is level headed, but We really know nothing about him. No kidding, i like ronnie and there should be a little more scenes or plots including ronnie. he's cool though cause he's (i think) one of the smartest and most loyal out of all. he's down for everthing. so, i agree, there needs to be a little more ronnie dilema. ya know?

The cuddlers wife was kinda hot in a school teacher kinda way. i agree, she was hot. i thought dutch might go for her. she had a great accent. i agree with those who say tavon. he got banged up in the car accident, but i would love to hear more fom him now. he and shane never really settled anything, despite that amazing brawl. whalen from the decoy squad was hilarious. she was the one person who really one-upped claudetter with her moral righteousness crap.

Completely agreed. Ronnie has never really gotten past the barest stages of development. He seems like a filler character that can do anything, but, isn't remarkable in any way other than to fill out the team.

I would like to see Tavon come back too, maybe as a normal detective assigned to the Barn or something like that. I think it would create some neat Vik-Shane-Tavon tension. As for Ronnie, I don't think that they really need to devote any plot lines to him. On any team there is always at least one guy like Ronnie: someone who doesn't say anything and just does his work. He works great as the guy who is just always there, ready to provide backup.
