So, Kavanaugh is officially investigating Aceveda with the 'charge' that he has 'some connection' with Vic. In real world terms, is this stupid or what? How can somebody be under investigation without a SINGLE WITNESS, STATEMENT, OR SHRED OF EVIDENCE? That's called a witch hunt, and its not something you can usually do against a popular polititian. Now back to TV world terms... Kavanaugh accused Aceveda of sitting in the captain's chair and having the ability to stop Vic but not doing so. Then he threatened him with taking his reserve cop badge and going to the reporters about why. The why of course being that he didnt stop Vic under his reign as captain. **Yawn** Does anybody remember the finale of season 2, when Aceveda himself leaked to the press that he should be fired along with Vic and the ST becuase he was, as captain, responsible for their actions and for not bringing them down. Remember how that played out with the voters? Why should Kavanaugh saying the same thing about a year and a half later (in Shield time) make any difference in the world?

Well said. There's really nothing Kavanaugh can do to Aceveda at this point, unless he has some hidden trick up his sleeve. And losing your reserve badge? Big deal. If nothing else, I think this will piss Aceveda off enough to help Vic tear Kavanaugh apart.
Even if Kavanaugh went to the reporters...he at this point has no real proof that Vic is dirty, or that Aceveda didn't really have Vic and the ST under control. The minute he opens his mouth blabberring about corruption, any reporter with a functioning brain cell or two will say "Can you cite specific expamples of said corruption?"
What would he say? "Well...there's many allegations and right now we really can't disclose any of that information." Like the public wouldn't jump all over the department and the new police chief.
Kavanaugh is definitely pushing it a bit too far.

Kavanaugh pissing Aceveda off is simply going to give Aceveda and Vic even more reason to finally join up this season. I can't find who initially commented on this theory, but a Vic Aceveda gang-bang would really set things off for "Part 2" of this shitty two part season. Two mortal enemies finally joining sides to save each of their own asses? I would love to see it.

It wouldn't really be the first time they joined forces. They came together to show up Laney Kellis. Well, at least they came to a mutual understanding that if they didn't cooperate with each other it wouldn't be good for either of them.

until this season i didnt think i could hate anyone more than I hate aceveda. Kavanaugh proved me wrong. I think vic still hates aceveda. But as the saying goes, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". And to Vic, kavanaugh is his enemy at this point and not aceveda.
