just because there is a case against the strike team doesnt mean they have proof.........they DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT have any proof. they have no proof vic killed terry, they have no proof where the 65,000 came from, they have no proof the strike team is corrupt. im gettin just as upset as mackey is because im sick of people sayin they want kavanaugh to get mackey. i just had to defend the strike team and make this exact same point on the boards at IMDB. there is no proof. the only way the ST will get in trouble is if one of them cave............................PERIOD.
im not upset with anyone on the board at all, im just stating facts and it gets under my skin that there are some people out there that want kavanaugh to win, how can u say ur a fan of the shield and vic mackey and then want kavanaugh to win

The people who say those things are fans of Tragedy. The Hero goes down in the end because of his fatal flaw. What could be Mackey's? His soft spot for tramps with kids? I don't know, but I do know that the end is coming and that would surely end it.
Vic is actually an anti-hero, so is this an anti-tragedy? I don't know but my Coronas sure taste good.

I agree with twistedjustice., that there's no hard evidence on the ST, nothing that could even hold up in court.
Which is why I'm sure that when the show ends in wont be Kavanaugh that gets Vic, something else bad might happen, but it will have nothing to do with IAD. Of that I'm certain.

Agreed Cletus. IAD at least AT THIS POINT has nothing on Vic. Now, if things were to get turned up on Aceveda, he's about the only one with the real knowledge of Vic's dealings to bring him down. That could be a potential story right there. Kav gets dirt on Aceveda, and then Aceveda sells out to save his job and keep his own ass out of jail.
My real question is this: Even if Shane were to crack, would new testimony from him be worth anything? It would make it his word vs. Mackey's...and since they've already had multiple statements from both of them telling the same story, why would they believe him if he cracked?

I'm with you on this one, twistedjustice. Right now, it's a hunch by Kavanaugh and a hunch by Aceveda against what Vic and Shane are saying. Furthermore, IAD already cleared Vic and Shane of Terry's murder during season 1. I don't even see how they can reopen this investigation.
It'll be interesting to see the explanation for the $65,000 in cash, but it'll be nearly impossible to put the Money Train on the Strike Team. Everyone involved in that debacle except for the Strike Team is long dead.
While I don't think what Vic did was right, I find myself rooting for him.
