I asked him if I could be in an episode as an extra (like in the cage). He hasn't responded, he responded to my first two emails....

Well dangit... I'll let him know. Thanks. Are you gonna ask him when he comes back home to your place? I didn't see the link. Would I just do a search for his myspace account and see it that way?

Great read - "In Defense of the Grenade" Well stated. Though, even if Lem thought it was coming, what could or would he do? I don't see him being able to kill Shane, even in self defense. If nothing else, he'd only take shelter... of course that would probably be enough for Shane to back down. I doubt he could hunt Lem down On the main page --- he used my "Cops" video! But looking at the URL, uploaded/linked by "Justin." Oh well, it's still my video! ;D

I started a thread on this subject but I can't find it anywhere! I believe it's right below this one in the Season 6 board. I locked it because this thread was created first and has more replies. ;D

"Finished writing the premier. We're doing a read-thru next week. Can't reveal details, but I can assure you, we hit the ground running. Vic and Shane, head-to-head. I introduce one new character that will most likely feed into Vic's seasonal arc. All I can tell you now is that the person is employed by Uncle Sam. I'm sure Shawn and FX will reveal juicier tidbits as the season draws closer.
I'm having a lot of fun so far this season. I'm sorta there in more of a consultant capacity this year so I could focus on a couple feature projects. I write my movies by myself -- which I enjoy, I'm not a person who needs people -- but I really dig coming into the writer's room. The camaraderie's great. A couple of the original guys, Glen and Skeeter are gone (sold out for high-paying network gigs), so there's new energy in the room. New blood is always good. And delicious. Adam's doing a great job keeping the room moving and the writers on schedule and I'm focusing on spinning story and pushing the seasonal arc forward.
I have to say -- and of course I'm f**cking biased -- but I'm excited about the direction we're heading in. It's still being carved out, but I think the conclusion of the series will be very satisfying -- creatively and emotionally. "
this is so depressing. none of the original guys have their hearts in it anymore. shawn ryan is distracted with "the unit". rosenbaum and mazzara are completely gone. scott brazil's dead. and sutter is basically a consultant now?
this is bullshit.
i'm already worried.

This was posted at least 2 hours after mine and since it is added on to another generically labeled title (KURT SUTTER'S MySpace Blog). I thought it would be easier to find the one titled Season 7 Ep 1. Not to mention that this one is found in Season 6....
E must like the attention.

LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME!!!!!!!! NOW BITE MY ASS! This thread was started on May 23 - yours was started yesterday. Whichever thread was started first, has more replies, or the better conversation usually "wins." This thread should actually be somewhere in the Inside Info board.... or in APB's?? I started it here because, at the time, his blogs were about S6 eps. The bite my ass thing was said in humour, btw.

THIS thread may have been started May 23 but the Season 7 EP1 blog wasn't (I posted the blog 2 hours or so before dude posted it in your threaad) and would seem to fall under spoiler since everything else that is even remotely close to unaired is. Again it is also harder to find being added on to another thread. I just thought people would want to see SEASON 7 EP 1 in the title, the would know right away.

Thursday, June 07, 2007 - 11:49 PM THE POWER OF CATCHING UP TO STORYWe often get notes from the Studio and Network regarding clarity. Mostly around the gang on gang interactions. Who's killing who and why? Why does Vic want that guy dead? Shane's whose bitch? What's the difference between El Salvadoran and Mexican? Stuff like that. We really try to keep exposition real. We know life is loaded with information. The truth is 90% of our day is exposition -- getting and giving information. But in the context of the show, we try to have that information happen organically, from the reality of the circumstance and the emotionality of the character. Guys like Vic have a shorthand. They're men of few words. They enjoy making a joke more than sharing a thought. It's a challenge for us writers, not creating bogus exposition and yet keeping the audience up to speed with the narrative. What we've found is that our audience has grown accustomed to the lack of "here's what's going on folks" scenes. In fact, they enjoy and demand the opportunity to catch up to the story. Meaning, we don't insult the viewers. We know you're intelligent, inspired folks who have taken the time out of your busy evening to watch or made the effort to program your tivo for a reason. You relish the fact that you have to fuc%ing pay attention to the story. It's not a sit back, relax and have a snack kind of show. It's lean in, watch closely, tivo back and watch it again TV. It's the power of the documentarian style -- never knowing what's just out of frame -- literally, figuratively and emotionally. A good friend came up to me the other night, with a haggard look on his face and said, "Dude, I watched your fuc%in' finale last night. I felt assaulted." He didn't follow up with "It was great" or "I loved it", he just shuffled away, like a victim of a violent crime. I've never been so proud.

Hey, NancyGilroy, where ya been? I expected you surface after your idol, Katey, also resurfaced this season. ;D
Yeah I like visiting Kurt's blogs and I have been posting there, too. He writes in a funny, irreverant way, in character with his writing in TS. And he's pretty good about keeping up and replying. Good Stuff.
