Ok...let's hammer this one out...
Who would you most like to see as the recurring guest star for the second half of Season 5?
Laurence Fishburne comes to mind. How kick-ass could he be on either side of the law?
Benecio Del Toro. What kind of character can't he play? Maybe a little Finster-type from Usual Suspects?
Jason Statham from Snatch/The Transporter. He could be a pretty good European drug dealer or something like that.
I hate to say this...how about DMX? Seriously...he's about the only rapper that can act in a role that doesn't = Rapper.
That's what I got for now. How about you?

No guest stars for me, thanks. Focus on the characters we already know and love.

I second Ed Norton (with goate) as a russian mafia head honcho.
Denzel Washington-similar to his role in Training day. Finally a match for Vic!

I think Denzel would end up being the exact same character as Kavanaugh. Don't get me wrong, I really like Denzel (Anyone seen him in Kenneth Branaugh's Much Ado About Nothing?), but I think Denzel's style would lead it to being a replica of Whittaker's Character.
If it hadn't already been done, I'd throw Kevin Spacey (one of the greatest actors to ever walk the face of the planet) in as some sort of psycho killer.

I think Denzel would also make a great Villian! Rollings would be good, I also think Tom sizemore could be a badass

I don't want HR anywhere near this great show. He's too over the top / animated / insane. In a cartoonish kind of way. JMHO. (*E dons flame-retardant coveralls)
I got to see Rollins' Band a couple times when they toured with Jane's Addiction & Lollapalooza I. I have a bootleg of their show in Huntington, WV from May 8, 1991..... He sweated on me. Jeeez, it's all coming back to me.... I was only 2 or 3 weeks out of surgery for a broken wrist. I broke my wrist in a nasty car wreck on April 22 that year -- also compression fractured 4 vertebrae (T10, 11, 12, & L1). I was on pain killers and 'other medicinals' the entire show; Rollins was a maniac. I hit some people with my cast in the pit and kept screaming for them to get awaay from me; afraid they'd hurt my back. OK, I'm off topic like a mutherfukker and drunk as hell so maybe I should just shut up now.... whoever moderates this board can delete it if they want.

Rollings would be good, I also think Tom sizemore could be a badass First, this is a great thread idea for the hiatus but there's no reason it can't start now. I know the thread title says "Dream guest star" but "marquee actors" like Pacino or De Niro are never gonna do a TV guest role, so I'd rather focus on actors who are viable. But, hey, that's just my two cents and if someone wants to suggest a big-name actor, go for it. I also thought of Tom Sizemore. Another guy I thought of immediately was Jon Voigt. He played a bad guy who was positively scary because he had such a sinister air about him in Heat. How about some ladies? So far, it's all men.

Not that I am a fan, but I could see Queen Latifa in a guest role as a bangers girlfriend or the leader of a female gang. Not a big fan of her, but could see her doing it.

Women... how about Meg Foster?? She was the original Cagney in Cagney & Lacy. Those haunting eyes! She'd make an interesting prosecutor. God, how old is she now?

I want Samuel L. Jackson to be a mean assed crack dealer cuz his role in FREEDOMLAND was so bad he deserves to be Pulp Fiction-ized again.
As for a realistic actor, how about J-Ray and dtpollitt as gang members of a two member bicycle gang that stalk the K-9 lady?? She enlists help from Vic and Vic proceeds to kick the shit outta J-Ray and dtpollitt gets the K-9 lady alone, without the dog in the room, if you know what I mean...
Definitely plausible. Hey, it could happen.

KAV might force j-ray to wear a wire or else turn on his buddy, Dan just to inevitably get to Vic. Jray would have to kick Dan's ass in order to save him! Do the right thing jray and kick Dan' s ass to save Vic and the Strike Team! Dan: Jray is only doing it because HE LOVES YOU>MAN!!! (And he loves The Shield)

Well, I think Kav would get upset because I'd probably hit on his ex...
But when she wasn't laughing at my terrible jokes, I'd be like, "What's wrong with you? Are you retarded?"
Kav would swoop in, toss me in the cage, and then Dan would pull a Jack Bauer and bust my ass outta' the slammer.

I think Denzel Washington is a great choice and what about Eddie Murphy. And Haley Berry would be a great girlfriend for someone....

I second the notion for Henry Rollins to jump into the ring. I admire Robert Carlyle a great deal, he'd be great as some psycho European dude.
