Mine is the self-exploding Russian, but I'm a sicko. Also, the way Vic handled Monica's visit to the scene.... What are yours?

While re-watching the season with a buddy of mine, I've found that one of my favorite moments was the end of Cut Throat - the Vic/Shane showdown. The first time I saw it, it was powerful, emotional, and gut-wrenching...and I didn't know where they were going to go. It was awesome.

I think that's my all time favorite scene in all of Shield history. Not only the interaction between Vic and Shane... but between the actors playing those roles. I think it was the first time I was fully aware of the duality of the moment... does that make sense??

That scene with Shane and Vic was cool, but I have to say that the scene between them in the finale of Season Three was tougher. I think that is the best dramatic scene for both actors of the whole series.... The best part is the look on Shane's face after he yells about Vic not being a good father. You can just see how bad he wishes he didn't say what he just said.

"Hey! Cleanup on aisle 4!" Following just after, "Park the Schwinn, a**hole," it was a great moment.

i think the whole Antown/Monica/Vic showdown in the interragation room in Back in the Hole is just fantastic but my overall favorite is Dutch and Roger the Level Three guy in String Theory - it's a complicated scene and actually quite touching and poignant at the same time
conversely, one of my least favorites was the one scene with Monica and Claudette in the hospital room in Hurt - I really expected something quite extraordinary from the writers when giving these two great actors a scene together and I think Rosenbaum and Langworthy dropped the ball here - the scene was so understated it actually ended up being fairly powerful but when one thinks what could have been done you have to be a little disappointed

The final scene at the end of Season Three is up there too. I would have called that one, but we're talking about Season Four.
I gotta say, I just watched Judas Priest with my buddy, and man, that last scene with Rawling, Vic, and Aceveda was so great.
"You're not a cop. And you NEVER were."

that was a good scene too, BP - but I wonder, extending that whole showdown into the final episode, why didn't Monica tip Vic that the heroin-cutter woman was working for IAD - it would seem after all he did to help her nail Antwon she might be a little gracious

Because at that point, she'd lost her job. She no longer cared.

The Self exploding dude was hilarious lol... I laughed for like 5mins like the time Shane was screwing the hooker in the interrogation room and vic turned on the tv.

I gotta say my favorite moment came early in Season 4 in the "Grave "episode where Shane karate chops the pimp's throat at the restaurant with his prostitutes and throws the plate. And when he gets that girl to pleasure Army in the alley....just some sick funny ass dialogue in those scenes.

This is a bit off-topic, but I was thinking about Judas Priest a bit...
...and am I the only one who thinks it's kind of ironic that Aceveda arranged for Juan to be killed after all the fuss he made about finding the courage not to kill him back in What Power Is...?

my favorite season 4 moments are:
1. The end when they're all havin fun in the bar
2. I like when monica says that all drug and gang related homicides go through vic, because it makes him have more control
3. I also like when the strike team reunites and they go lookin for the cop killers, and they get to the door and shane says "knock knock" and vic says "police" in that innocent voice

I think that if there is any irony at all it's in the fact that Aceveda is so wanting to shut Vic down as a "dirty cop", and yet he is probably the dirtiest of all -- doing things to suit his own agenda rather than for the best of the community as a whole.

you're right about that - Aceveda now has a murder on his hands just like Vic - Aceveda is all about himself now and will now probably do anything to protect his political image - he's actually starting to accumulate as many skeletons in his closet as Vic but at least Vic and the ST have worked pretty hard to cover their tracks - Aceveda is in panic mode and is getting careless

I don't really think that that's a fair assessment. While covering up his rape by having Juan killed was done in part to protect his political career, it was also done to protect his family from humiliation and media attention.
In fact, I think that people are way too harsh on Aceveda in general. His meetings with his hooker, whilst difficult to watch, were hardly reprehensible. The hooker was clearly emotionally equipped to deal with Aceveda, and, excepting the cathartic reconstruction of the rape in 4x10, she was in control and willing to go along with what he asked.
Furthermore, considering that Juan raped him, having Juan killed was hardly reprehensible either. Of course, he allowed Antwon to walk in favour of capturing Bernia, but if the DEA thought that Bernia was a more worthy target, then perhaps it wasn't such a bad thing to do.
A lot of people say that, over the last two seasons, S4 especially, Aceveda has become more and more unlikeable, but I actually think that he's become much more sympathetic and human.
Back on topic, my favourite moments of S4 were Gilroy's corpse turning up at the morgue, Gilroy's funeral, Vic and Shane at the end of 4x08 and Aceveda's meeting with his hooker in 4x10.

Aceveda is a shitbag, and I've thought so ever since he sold out Vic at the end of Season 2 while pretending to have an deal with him the whole time.... Aceveda has always been out for himself.... Now, I have no problem with hookers, but it's a pretty shitty thing to do when you're married (even though Aceveda's wife is a treacherous bitch). But almost letting Antwon get off to cover his own ass just shows what a scumbag he is. Aceveda will stab anyone in the back to get ahead. He was like that even before he was raped.

Favorite Season 4 Moment:
"Next season, on The Shield..."

That's a little harsh, but meh.
I like a lot of the musical montages in The Shield, and Season 4 was no different.
The whole scene with Antwon shooting Angie. I thought Season 4 would be the best season after this. It disappointed, but this scene stays in the Shield Hall of Fame.
Trechiak exploding.
There's more, but I forget. I'll probably edit it in later.
