Watching it right now. Its been a while since ive watched the pilot, and i frogot how much diffrent the barn is that in other episodes. I know the pilot was filmed in an real building, and the re-built for the rest of the episodes.
Anyone else notice that when Aceveda was talking to Vic about the guy he used the plyers on, Aceveda says "Its the 4th complaint since i got here" I guess they werent thinking ahead to the Co-pilot episode where the Barn is an new precinct. and Aceveda was the captin from the start, the way i took Acevedas line is that there was another captin b4 him.

Watching The Shield on TV is great and seeing Terry get shot was even better.
This episode with Derek Trip (sp?) is a classic.

Mrs. Capone....called a friend of ours who hasn't seen the pilot....
I can't wait to hear her reaction...
She knows Terry got killed and Vic is getting the heat....but she never seen the actual deed...
I forgot how well that part went together...
Dutch cleaning the dog $hit out of his desk.....the team getting into gear...and Kid Rock playing in the background...
Classic....awesome T.V.

Watching The Shield on TV is great and seeing Terry get shot was even better. This episode with Derek Trip (sp?) is a classic. I watched the episode with Derek Tripp last night. My favorite part was when Ronnie, Lem and Shane were "babysitting" Tripp in that apartment. Ronnie was asleep in the chair, Lem laying on the couch with his finger in his belly button and Shane was on the phone trying to get Vic.

Notice how everybody looks a little bit different then. Ronnie has an edgier look now. Back then he looked kinda 70ish. Dutch was more stolic and square. Chiklis was skinnier and now he is more buff. The barn looked like a card board box...very basic set. The film is unique...always has been. The way that they film "The Shield".

I loved how Vic use to chew gum all the time.....
I also loved how he had more of a smart a$$ appeal to him...
Freakin' A$$ invader was...and still is a putz...

OMG!!! Blowback was just on and I was GLUED to the TV... Delicious feet indeed. Spike TV is putting the commercials in the wrong places and that is a bit distracting. It's kida weird seeing "normal" commercials during The Shield, too. All we ever get on FX are ads for liquor, movies, and FX's own shows.

Blowback and Cherrypoppers. Back to back, those two episodes are fantastic. I forget if Dutch captures the serial killer in this episode or if that happens later. If I recall correctly, he is not successful.

Is it still that guy Steve though? I totally forget. I've been trying to find the answer on the Internet to no avail, and I'm going to miss the episodes tomorrow night.

Oh shit!!!! My favorite Connie/Vic scene EVER is coming up; HIT ME! f*ck!!! I f*cking LOVE THIS SHOW DAMMIT!!!
edit: SPIKE TV SUCKS ASS! They cut that scene short and I'm pissed. "Ass Suck TV" is more like it. FUUUUUUUUUCK!

Vic and Connie in the room when she begs him to hit her and give her bruises as part of an alibi story to cover up the murder she committed. Vic does things to help people out of love for them that normal people don't have to face. And we love him for that. There are so many things about the first season that made me fall in love with "The Shield" from the start. So many moments to remember.

I f*cking LOVE THIS SHOW DAMMIT!!! edit: SPIKE TV SUCKS ASS! They cut that scene short and I'm pissed. "Ass Suck TV" is more like it. FUUUUUUUUUCK! I am ashamed to admit that I don't recall the names of eps in which my favorite scenes have appeared. Do you mean when Vic has to punch Connie? I love that scene! Something is almost erotic about it. Well, imho! One of my all time favorite scenes (or group of scenes) is when Vic is trying to help Connie go cold. She's delirious and puking and going through that whole withdrawal hell... and he's leaning over her on the bed, encouraging her. There is such tenderness and caring in that scene--so unlike the Vic we had seen up to that point. The acting between them was unbelievable.
Reminds me a little of the care Vic expresses for Emolia, though he's not nearly as emotionally there for her. The betrayal by Emolia--it seemed to take us right back to a meaner, harder Vic like the Vic in Season One.
Too bad Spike is f*cking up the pace and feel of the eps by sticking commercials willy-nilly. This alone is probably a reason someone like Shawn hesitates to let another network take control of his creation. Well, at least it will generate more viewers for the post front eleven back ten!
Oh, and I am not able to watch the Spike marathon... it gets me all keyed up and I can't sleep afterward! I tossed and turned for two hours afterward last night!!
