After reading JWC's post in the APB Section. I guess SR eluded that Vic will never be seen in a TV Show again. Insinuating maybe in a movie? But Shane was "upset" he was not asked to be in it or something to that effect.
So my Question to all of you is -If they were to make a shield movie, would you prefer to have it pick up where the tv series ended (or just as VIc's contract is up with ICE)? OR have the movie be more of a prequel so that Shane, Lem, Ronnie, and Vic would be back together again, working on a case that was not shown during the series?
Your thoughts?

I would have to say picking it up where the show ended. Co-pilot was a kind of prequel. I think there is a lot of ways to go if the story picks up at the end. I think Vic would find a way to spring Ronnie from the pen. Trying to track down his family could also be interesting. In fact, I think the way the show ended left it wide open for a movie to pick up some of the loose ends.
What the hell, I'd like to see both types of movie!! Especially considering the kind of drivel that's being put out these days.

There are 2 gaps between the seasons where something happened that we know of and might be interesting but didn't get to see. There is a gap between season 2 and 3 where Shane met Mara and the strike team got their money train and hires that and starts with getting it safe. The second (and where I think is the biggest possibility of a movie) is the part between season 4 and 5. Billings is getting installed as acting captain as Rowling just left and Mitchell is send to prison. And there is the key for me, the trial against him. This could be a good story for me surrounded by a few other smaller stories around it.
I don't think a post season 7 movie would be the best option as 50% of the show is cut off really. Strike team is 50% of the show, 30% to Dutch, Claudette and Aceveda and 20% is for Danny & Julien and their problems. When you need to refill that 50% (even if you still have the lead character) I think you are moving to far away from the show to make a real Shield movie.

I wouldn't mind seeing the movie if it came out. The writers really just ended the show and frankly, I thought it was weak. After all the stuff Vic did, and then to have the show end like it did, I felt cheated. When it ended and Vic walked off, I thought SR and TPTB were just joking with us. I wouldn't mind seeing Ronnie break out of jail or Vic going to see him and breaking him out himself. I was always thinking all along that Ronnie would off Vic and then stand over Vic's body like Shane and Vic did with Terry, thus bringing the show to a full circle. The first sin was the last sin.
