Okay, whoever's in charge of HBO dvd releases needs to be swiftly kicked in a place that a foot can be stuck and it hurts.
This whole "Let's split a season into two parts! Our loyal fans of such shows like Entourage and The Sopranos are motherfucking suckers! They'll buy it!" thing is the biggest dick move in the history of dvds.
Now it's seeped over to FX releases. I noticed this today when I saw Nip/Tuck on the shelf as season (whatever) part one. What the crap?
If they release The Shield's final act in two parts I'm going to be fired up beyond belief and likely will not buy it. I'll happily make my own friggin' box set.
I hate mega-conglomerates pulling shit like this. Oy.

The difference is Nip/Tuck, Entourage, Sopranos had split seasons that were divided in terms of airing. Since the Shield had a continuous run for Season 7, I doubt there will be two DVDs. (Though not because Sony doesn't want to gouge consumers...)

Did Nip/Tuck do that? I don't watch it, so I didn't know. Just thought it was a new trend of bullshit.

nip/tuck is split from what i understand because the previous season was suppose to be longer than other seasons but the writers strike messed that up so what started last night for nip/tuck is the back half of that season hence part 1 on the dvd release
