what are the bad things about the sony version of the dvd? I've posted this a lot, but I can't find the thread. I'll tell you for Season One, there are three main differences on the Sony version (not including packaging): 1. There are no scene selection MENUS to go to a specific scene in an episode. This does not mean there are no chapter stops. You can skip scenes using your remote. The episodes are divided into less chapters on this set, however. 2. This version icludes all of the "Previously on The Shield" segments. (However, skipping the first chapter goes partially into the episode instead of skipping the review segment. That's annoying) 3. All the episodes are widescreen. Whether any of these things is bad or good is subjective. Everything else about the discs is pretty much the same. Same menu design, same episodes, etc.... I, personally, will only watch my Sony versions from now on....

And remember, spoilers are to be posted in the snitches board, not in the season threads!!!!! ROFLMAO LOL.... you are such a goober. Sounds like a plan. It will be fun to read everyone's insights on these earlier episodes, as I was not around when ya'll were orginally discussing them. It's gonna be weird watching the series now since we know how it ends. TSR was not formed until March 2005, so there were no discussions here during the original airings of seasons 1 through 3. The best line polls did not start here until S05. We'll fix that. I think it will be a gas to see the episodes in a different light, see things that might not have registered in our brains the first time around. All of the existing threads will remain, of course, so we may want to add to those as well as start new ones. P.S. has anyone gone through the snitches board who had at first avoided it like the plague? I was in the avoid-it-like-the-plague camp and was going to read it after the finale but have not been able to locate my 'round tuitt.'

I just finished re-watching S1-S4.
Man, "Pilot" is f*cking PERFECT television, especially in light of knowing how the series ends in S7 and how relationships break down. Watching the pool party in Mackey's backyard where everyone's at the top of their game, fully together, Vic's family is happy....it's just brutal to watch in that light.
Utterly brilliant.

Why direct all your angst at mE? This thread was started over a month ago -- I'm sure you've been here since then.

Break out your DVDs, buddy! It's not an FX replay, it's just us TSR folk doing a rewatch.
