Hi, my name is Jade and I'm a Shield-aholic Welcome, Jade--you're in the right place. How did you find us? Well, some of my friends recently told me to "shut up about The Shield already" (dumbasses ), so I did a search for TS message boards (I figured that I couldn't be the ONLY one who is madly addicted to this show) and I found this board. And I like it a lot, because the commentary seems very thoughtful and insightful, and that's what I'm looking for in a message board.ETA--I've seen your name in the threads that I've been reading, Chem, and I like your posts

But she's more into it because she thinks Chickie is HOT )Here'a a little tidbit for you guys: I live 2 towns away from Lowell (Or, I should say, 2 cities away--because Lowell is a city, although I live in a town.) Lowell, btw, is a very rough city. It's better than it used to be 20 years ago (when there were drug dealers on every corner), but it's still almost as rough as some of the worst sections of Boston. So Chickie comes by his toughness honestly

I've been to Boston once, does that count?? I was really little. I remember sitting on a bench in a downtown type area near the water and tall red brick buildings. ("tall" to a 4 yr. old can be 2 stories....) Dad was talking about going up into one of the buildings for a better view of something or other, but we never did. I saw a white horse pulling a fancy riding wagon. And then I remember Dad chasing me and my brother around my uncle's house with live lobsters..... It was definitely wicked, but not so pissah. lol

Sounds like the Public Gardens, but I don't know what your dad would have wanted a better view of, nor which of the buildings in that area you could have gone into to get one. Perhaps the Charles River? Or the Hatch Shell. . .?
And BTW, jade, Somerville (aka "Summaville") does so have trees . At least, the part of it near Porter Square does. Maybe that's West Somerville, technically.
