It's going to feel bad/creepy/wierd seeing Lem in the old eps on Spike, knowing Shane kills him later.

I was really impressed with Walt Goggins' acting last night. You could really see the emotions he was going through before he fragged Lem. I thought he pulled off that scene great.

You're right. Walt did an awesome job of acting in that scene. Best he has done so far.

I couldn't sleep last night after watching this episode. Vic is going to scorch the earth with his flame thrower next season. Can't wait until January!!! R.I.P Lem......

Shane believed that Mexico was the best bet for Lem. He'd be killed in any California prison via the OneNiners... no where else to run. When Lem said he'd rather go to prison than to Mexico, Shane had no choice but to eliminate him. Shane believed Lem had given up intel on the money train and Terry's death already, and he also believed that prison would break him down further and Lem would eventually give up The Team.
It sucks, I hate it, and I'm pissed off about it, but I can see that Shane felt he had no choice and was "protecting the team."

It wouldn't have been *as* bad if Lem was actually going to snitch on them... but he wasn't. He was loyal to the end and Shane still killed him. Once they heard Lem mentioned the money train, they thought he was ready to snitch on everything they have done. If Lem doesn't mention the money train then I don't think Shane kills him..but he had to go to Mexico no matter what and didn't want to, so Shane had to do it for his new baby's sake.

My last thought before I (FINALLY!) went to sleep last night... "OMG, they killed Lem! Poor sweet Lem!!" My first thought this morning when I (FINALLY) woke up... "OMG, they killed Lem! Poor sweet Lem!!"
I am not sure I can even watch the old eps on Spike or the Season 4 dvd now--at least not for a while. It'll hurt too much to see Lem again.
I think this whole thing is why Shane/Walt looked so devastated in 5:10. It looked like he had genuine tears in his eyes at moments (I didn't realize that one was directed by a women, so never mind my question to Glen about women directing eps!)
What I would like to know from Glen is if the cast knew while filming 5:10 that Lem was going to die in 5:11. How did Kenny take it that Lem was going to be killed? (I tend to assume these things happen when actors want to move on into other projects) I bet there were plenty of mixed emotions when you wrapped the finale.

There is a moment toward the end of ep10, when the Team is together for almost the last time. It's at the bar and they're breaking the news to Lem that he's gotta jump bail and run.
Lem has his elbow on the table and his hand on his forehead. The camera is pointed through that triangle of open space between his arm & his body, looking right at Shane. There's a look in Shane's eyes that is very fixated, a lot steelier than the moment calls for. I think, in this moment, Shane is asking himself if he could go through with it.

Well, it said on the preview guide that "danny confronts the baby's daddy"... but going by the "snitches" CURTIS is also 6 letters and 2 vowels.
That'd kick ass if Lem is the dad. *Btw, hi, I'm new and I love The Shield" ;D

OMG - Lem is NOT the daddy. It's Vic. Watch that scene with Danny again; it's Vic.
