I love that Vic finally got some tail. Sadie Kavanaugh is pretty dang hot, too. GO VIC! However --- Becca?? What the hell?! Why on earth would Vic kiss her? They have no chemistry. She's never even flirted with him, unless an expressionless "I'd be a better friend than attorney" counts as flirting in her book. I'm sorry, it might seem as though my jealousy is making me hate her character, but I think it's more that that. I don't think Laura Harring is a very good actress. In fact, I think she sucks in this role. I had never seen her act before, so I had no opinion going in. I have given her 10 episodes to show me Becca Doyle's personality and guess what? There IS NO personality. She's too stiff and, well..... she's boring. Was she this terrible in her other roles? Am I the only one who thinks she's awful? The kiss between Becca and Vic at the end of ep 10 was strained, awkward, totally out of place, and unnecessary for the script. I felt like I was watching a couple Jr. High school kids kissing; ick. I've never disliked an actor or actress on The Shield before, so this is kinda new for me. I mean, Corrine and Mara piss me off, but Cathy Ryan is good as Corrine, and Michelle Hicks is REALLY good as Mara. They play their parts well, and I see chemistry with the other characters; they fit in. Becca is so far out of place I'm embarrassed to watch her. OK, tell me why I'm a horrible bitch for picking on the poor dear....

I don't know why she gets such a bad rap for her acting (I've never seen her in anything else). The whole thing with her and Vic seemed inevitable to me and wasn't really surprising. It seemed natural enough to me. I think Becca is pretty worthless as a lawyer for the ST though.... PS. Vic kissed her because she's hot. He knew she'd put out since she'd been looking at him like an Ethiopian looks at a pork chop....

I agree with you E. I find Her character extrememly flat and boring. But, it just might be that's what they were looking for when casting her. How exciting are lawyers? I'm not making a generalization that lawyers are boring and socially flacid people, I'd saying that often times, especially when doing business, they are that way because the business demands it. Rebecca seems that way to me. She's gorgeous, and I can't blame Vic for laying some moves down on her, but if she's that boring in coversation, she could be equally boring in the sack. Maybe that should be a Q for Glen...hehehehe..."When you write for Rebecca Doyle, do you picture her being a dead carp, or a wild little spitfire in the sack?"

I don't really fault Laura. If her character had more depth, she might have something to work with. Basically, Becca stands around and says public defender things. They are like that, too. They have to be because they defend scumballs who are guilty. The only way to do the job is to be detached, on a personal level, from the client and setting. I've seen a few who were more or less robotic.
I wish Becca had made the move...and the line about Lem right before the kiss was too awkward. I would have skipped the line, had a moment of uncomfortable silence--each debating if they dare make a move--then let them be drawn together slowly. That scene didn't work for me either. The frenetic pace of the episode messed up a moment, imho.

OK OK -- lawyers ARE kinda like that. I know a few. But still, for Vic to be interested in her she needs to be a little more .... interesting.

Poor Vic didn't get any all season, then at the end he gets 2 in 1 night! I wasn't expecting it to be Kav's ex! That shocked me. Unfortunately It left me feeling disappointed with Vic, and I love him! I know Kav's ex made the moves, and I could see where he figured, "it's been awhile, what the hell?" but when he rubbed it in Kav's face he wasn't thinking. He should've known that Kav would go after Corrine and that's the mother of his children. I don't like that he put her in harms way. I mean, I didn't like that she shot her mouth off about the 65,000. That pissed me off, but for the most part she is an innocent bystander just trying to make it as a single Mom. I knew the lawyer was getting hot for Vic, as someone said, she looked at him like an Ethiopian at a pork chop.....that was funny! My theory about the kiss is that either they cut off the line because he just realized he had feelings for her OR the more realistic answer would be is Vic mentioned Lem and then kissed her so he could butter her up to help him with Lem. At the end it made me wonder if she advised him to take Lem to Mexico and now she's gonna get caught up in Vic's web. Anyway I just think they did that to leave us hangin on what she's gonna do to help Vic with Lem. I never seen so many things happen in 1 episode.........IT WAS AWESOME!!!

I knew the lawyer was getting hot for Vic, as someone said, she looked at him like an Ethiopian at a pork chop.....that was funny! ;D ;D ;D Why isn't there a laughing smiley on this site? Dang right that was funny! I'm at work and I'm trying to be discreet, but I can't do that if I'm giggling... I don't like Becca either; she's dull, but so is Corrine. They're both dark-haired, so maybe she is his type. The questions are, will Laura Harring stay on after the Lem storyline is finished (hopefully after ep 11, otherwise, I'LL start getting ulcers!) and, if so, how will they use her character? Edited to add: If Becca stays on as Vic's love interest, could he stop his man-whoring ways? Uh...nuh-uh!

You can select one from the drop-down menu or click on "View All Smilies" to see them all in a little pop-up window. #yahoo#

you start thinking guys are man-pretty... Come on...Lem had perfect hair while in county...and coming out of county. That's Man-Pretty for you. Also, kind of a nit-pick thing. I mean unless they didn't show Ronnie hooking Lem up with some Vidal Sassoon. Maybe Lem used that same hair gel Mary used in "There's Something about Mary".

I don't know why it's so heinous to Corrinne that Vic could have banged Danny nine months earlier, when Corrinne herself was getting it on with Owen back in season 3.
