It seems to me at least up episode 12 that Danny and Julian dont have anything to do in the show anymore. It seems S1 and S2 were their highlights in terms of key scenes but after that, I fail to remember anything about them.
Im just thinking do they need to keep the two of them in as regulars anymore unless of course they both get some good plots next season since their is 21 episodes.
What do ye think?

i think there needed, hopefully this year their storylines will be better, since last year it seemed that danny was largely ignored.

Danny needs to be killed off. It's not that I don't like her character, but there's a point where there are just TOO many tortured characters that you just can't care about them all.

No need for Danny to die. Now that she has had her baby she can stop being the office secretary, and back to the female ass kicking cop. Like I said in the other thread the only 2 people who half to go our Shane at anypoint over the next 2 seasons, I don't really care when. Then Vic needs to kick the bucket in the last episode of the series.

Plus, there's still the issue of whether Danny's baby is also Vic's baby, so I think they got plans for Danny.
Julien definitely is annoying with his rightousness--I have a feeling he's gonna get killed, don't know how or when. Might be his wife doing him in after Julien reverts to his tiger stripes, or the anger of his jilted gay lover.

Took a look at this thread because somethig had recently been posted by E and it got me thinking bout the question at hand. I still think Danny being on the show adds a lot in a constructive way. Her character and issues are a great way to add an additional sub-plot to the main theme being portrayed.
As far as Julien goes, I could see him staying on or being killed or staying on and either situation being plausible as long as either direction is done right. If it were me, I would probalby have him bumped as a way to add to something already going on. Just my 3 cents worth.

i'm glad danny got shot. she's been a total bitch. i got especially angry when she got hella selfrightous about julian getting married.
all in all julian is awesome. it was good to see he finally pounded his wife out. ;D

Danny is one of my favorite characters. Julien annoys the crap out of me.

"It seems to me at least up episode 12 that Danny and Julian dont have anything to do in the show anymore. It seems S1 and S2 were their highlights in terms of key scenes but after that, I fail to remember anything about them."
This is probably the biggest area where the creative unit of writers and Shawn Ryan who leads them failed to deliver throughout the course of the series and didn't live up to the promise of the beginning of the series. The series has, since its inception, basically been three tiers--Vic/Shane/Captain figure (Aceveda in the first three seasons; Rawling in Season 4; I'll cheat and say Kavanaugh, despite not being actually Captain, effectively stepped into this dramatic role in Season 5; and Claudette in Season 6 and I presume Season 7--by the way, let's all hope she's allowed to assert herself more powerfully in Season 7 as her generally routine maneuvers were something of a disappointment in Season 6, particularly in the midsection of the season, after 6x02 and before 6x08), the "Detectives" (Dutch and Claudette through Season 5, then Dutch and Billings in Season 6 and Season 7), then the street cops like Danny and Julien (who've never really advanced until Season 6 when Danny became a sergeant and Julien joined the Strike Team) and below them the rest of the Strike Team (chiefly Lem and Ronnie, with a couple of guys coming in and out of the unit--Terry for a single episode, Tavon, Army and Vic wannabe AC/DC offspring kid, Hiatt). The only real two wildcards throughout the course of the series have been Lem and Aceveda, both of whom saw their respective roles dwindle and become greater depending on the material of the given episodes and seasons (Lem in particular saw his importance skyrocket from Season 3 onward, climaxing in Season 5 where he truly took over as "the heart" of the series in many ways).
But, nonetheless, one would wish sincerely that Danny and Julien were given much more to do and, most crucially, *memorable* stuff to do. Even after being placed on the Strike Team, Julien added zilch to any dramatic conflict or story arc of the series in Season 6. Danny? Well, after giving birth she spent a couple of episodes being told she'd made it to the sergeant level she was hoping for all the way back in early Season 1, and she had a verbal confrontation with Corrine, and her arc with Vic culminated in 6x06 with dealing with Cassidy's knowledge regarding Vic's new kid... after that, really nothing except she kind of played a quad-filling fourth role in the Dutch-Tina-Hiatt which culminated with her and Dutch being left in the cold and therefore finding one another.
I really hope Ryan gives these two characters something more palpable/exciting in Season 7. I suspect he will, but, boy, they could have used more a few seasons ago, sorry to say.
