I thought this was a pretty good episode. Lots going on: Antwon's son; the dirt on Rawling and her former partner; searching for Angie's body; Cap'n Dave re-enacting the bj, then being "healed"; Shane volunteering to take out Antwon; Shane-Antwon in the interrogation room; Danny and Julien's conflict; Dutch and the strangler suspect.
Unfortunately, I thought there were a few flaws, the biggest one being Pitarrio telling Vic and the boys that Angie was buried by the horses in Griffith Park instead of saying she was by the merry-go-round. I just have a hard time believing he wouldn't have said merry-go-round in the first place. This was such a pivotal piece of information, the whole story practically hinged on it. Also, I didn't like Antwon crying when Rawling was attacking him. Not that I don't think men can be "sensitive" but it just didn't fit in this case.
What happened with Shane's offer to sacrifice himself by killing Antwon? He had his chance until Antwon cuffed himself back to the table.
I was kind of amused that Dutch and Claudette were caught screwing up their interrogation of the suspect from San Antonio. Another plot foible, IMO, is putting a suspect into a lineup w/o an attorney present. If this guy kept getting nabbed by the cops and was smart enough to beat the rap every time, surely he knew that he had the right to have an attorney present during a lineup.
Poor Dutch boy keeps going up and down between being a bigshot and a screwup. He tackled the coffee bandit but then the banger snickered after having to tell Dutch and Wyms to check with the place where the medallion was made instead of searching their records for all bangers with the initials "JP".

Well, I am always curious about the ep titles...theories on this one? Every ep deals with "holes" of some kind (ha ha) so I think any guess might be a good one! Lem fans...was the crooked Lem looking good or what? I had respect and sympathy for the straight Lem last year but any fan of TS prefers the dirty side of law enforcement, no? I liked seeing him be brutal and determined, feeling that bond with the Team again. He might always lick his lips and feel a twinge of guilt, but I hope to see some serious Lem-dirt, if not this year, next! Too sexy! Walt Goggins! Is anyone else wowing about his performances?? What a treat to see what this actor can do...even stealing the show from our anti-hero (Vic)! I can hardly believe where they've taken our favorite cracker cop. If Goggins doesn't get an Emmy award nomination, I will commit myself to a Siberian convent in a twisted version of protest. Glenn was great in this ep... better than all of the others, imho. I didn't particularly care for the story about her messing around with her former partner BUT everyone should know his name now for the second contest ala trivia!

CHICchick, ITA with you on Goggin's performance!
Lem was fabulous in this episode, but don't call him crooked; he might throw up some blood! I'm psyched to see him get so much screen time - he is so cute! Ahhhhhh..
Yeah, I like him being in sync with the Strike Team. I hope Shane and Lem keep taking pot shots at each other, though. It could be theraputic.

Was this episode supposed to be 90 minutes?
I watched it last expecting it to be but it wasn't. I watched ep11 last nite and that wasn't 90 minutes either.
I just wanted to know if ep10 was the 90minutes ep? Im a bit disappointed, I was really looking forward to it.

Which is better than the usual 45 minutes.

it's entirely possible that Pitarrio didn't know there were stables at Griffith Park - the stables are on the opposite side of the Park (which is huge) and many people don't make the connection between the two - in fact, I believe the stables are referred to as Pickwick Stables so it's easy to miss the fact they are actually a part of the park - Pitarrio was around children so perhaps he had taken kids to the merry-go-round in the past thereby believing those were the only 'horses' actually in the Park

He also could have been just too retarded to know that the horses are called a merry-go-round.

Does Lem ever return that heroin that he put into his glovebox? Or does it come into play in Season 5?

No, he does not return the tar. In a later episode, I think its 413, the finale (not sure tho), Lem pulls Vic aside and tells him that the hooker/tar chick and her kid wouldn't be in trouble if he had given the tar back. Also, the IAD guy that Monica has following the Strike Team tells Monica that HIS C.I. (the hooker/tar chick) saw Lem take the drugs. Who knows if it comes into play in S5, I'm guessing not.

IAD took the real heroin from Lem's glovebox and substituted fake stuff that Vic gives to [can't remember his name] who then bitches to Vic about it being bogus - this is all in 4x13 - we know this happened because the heroin-cutter woman and Jose Zuniga tell Monica after she's been fired - Vic and Lem don't know what happened however and think the dealer is lying - I'm sure this all gets explained in 5x1 since IAD is picking on Lem to nail Vic

I noticed this the third or fourth time I watched this episode... (bottom left corner). I always like to see if I can see the crew in reflections or sunglasses, but this is the best one I've ever seen... Just thought I'd add that...

Never would have seen that.

I take comfort in the fact that's when it really all went wrong, and I can see them working behind the gate... lessens the blow

Okay, maybe I'm blind, but where are the crew members in the photo?

Okay, maybe I'm blind, but where are the crew members in the photo? Check the reflection of the car window. I never would have seen it if I hadn't read this thread and looked for it.
