So, TS is over and done with. How are you handling this, how do you feel about it? Note that due to the special nature of this topic, you are allowed to change your vote at any time. 1. I miss it even more than I thought I would. 2. I miss it a lot less than I thought I would. 3. Sure I miss it, but I dealt with it fairly quickly and moved on. 4. Other Please feel free to elaborate on your thoughts via a reply post.

I miss it but not anymore than I would during the normal off season. I think next year it will really hit me.

Too much else going on. I miss it, but feel like I got closure on it. It's time to move on.

I agree with badcop, I miss it right now....But I guess it just feels like a leap between two seasons. It'll really hit alot harder down the road when, there is no new season

I do not know if I miss it. I have yet to view my Season 7 purchase from i-Tunes due to issues that are beyond my control.

I miss it so much I can not even bring myself to watch the Season "rewatch" withthe rest of the board. I even tried to watch "Family Meeting" last week on the DVR and could only get through the first 10 minutes before I felt so disgusted/sad it was over I shut it off.

I'm the same BC, I can't bring myself to watch, even if I catch a rerun on cable (they're up to mid s6 - Shane just confessed to Mara that he killed Lem) I can't watch more than a few minutes before being reminded of how it ends, let alone going back to s1 and starting over.
SMOKE, good luck getting your mits on s7.

It's hard to re-watch any of the Shield seasons. They look so innocent in season 1 (!). Never thought I'd say that, but Season 7 did take us beyond where we thought the bar could be raised. It's over and we can't go back.
I'm not much for TV anymore. Damages and occasionally Burn Notice, but that's it.
Anyone know anything about US DVDs for Season 7?

FX replayed family meeting 2 weeks? ago and may I just say I still cried like a lil bitch. That damn suicide note gets me every single time. That was the first time I watched that episode since nov. and it still is as powerful and moving as it was the first time I saw it. And yeah it is hard to rewatch the series. I must confess I can't watch it every week. It is too hard. They were so innocent..lol...back then.

I'm rewatching the series with my daughter, now that she's 17. We have to fast forward quite a bit, heh ... a lot of scenes are just a little too awkward watching with her. She wants to watch an episode every night. I have to hide the DVDs while I'm at work so she doesn't neglect her school work, ha. We're in the middle of S05 currently. After we finish, which won't be for a while since the S07 DVDs probably won't be available by the time we finish S06, I want to watch from the very beginning again, but this time with the commentary version. i think that will be a blast and I know I should have done that already. Detectivevicmackey, it was good to see your post and the other recent posts in this thread. We wish TSR was still busy and, while we expected some drop off, are surprised at how much things have slowed down around here. There has been some recent activity but we've been trying to figure out what we can do, if anything, to get things going more. Maybe people will start missing the show more with time and come back here to see what's going on. Any suggestions you or anyone else might have are welcomed.

I do miss it. And I find myself quoting it all the time - I also watch the final episode every now and again. I managed to watch from season 1 knowing what happens - it's quite frightening how it all ends for them. Regardless, I love it, and will continue to love it until I'm a frail old man STILL quoting Mackey: "I set the terms. I expect your boss to live up to them" and shouting out "LEEEEEEEEM!". I'm watching Curb your Enthusiasm thesedays. It's alot of fun

The Shield was the first TV show I have ever watched that showed actual consequences for actions and things were not neatly tied up in 30 minutes. Needless to say, I will be forever grateful to the friend who introduced me to this masterpiece. I think alot about root cause, and effect and pinpointing where things started going downhill (helps at work too). I can't remember if it was explained, but they were being investigated by Aceveda in Ep 1, and I can't remember why, or if it was really anything to be concerned with seeing all the hoops they were able to jump thru. I don't even think it was explained in Co-pilot.
I'm gonna have to go back and watch the seasons again, and wish I woulda gotten in on the "rewatch". I actually had an idea somewhat similar, that everyone could watch an episode a week, and comment on it, on things they missed the first (second or third) time around, but it looks like this is already being done.
As for missing it, I do. I find other stuff to watch, but I wish there something more to wait on finding out about the story. It was a great story!

I miss TS more now than ever. Everytime I start to move on, I see a cast member on another show or I'll hear a song from TS on the radio and my post Shield depression begins again. Everytime I hear Disarm by The Smashing Pumpkins I shed a tear for Lem. Hungry Like a Wolf makes me laugh everytime.

I had to go to rehab during the last season. I was pissed off and disappointed to say the least. "Hi, I am --- and I am an alcoholic!" f*ck that! When I came home after getting kicked out of a substandard program, I caught a few episodes toward the end but things just were not the same and I had no time to adjust to the knowlege that the end of the series was here. I wish it wasn't over, but life goes on. I think "The Sheild" was an excellent show that had to struggle more than the other cable series for recognition. Part of this was due to the fact that they were not actively advertised by the network like they should have been. Also the actor's strike dampened the last season and rushed the end IMO. Mackey in a suit at a cube? No way!

I'm rewatching seasons in between DVD deliveries from Netflix. I think partly I'm still a bit hacked over how the ending played out. It was supposed to be some shock and awe ending that would be what Vic deserved and then we get what we got? I felt cheated. It's like TPTB suddenly decided to end the season halfway through and walk out. Kinda makes me believe there will be more coming up in the future.
