I thought this post deserves its own thread... I am moved to tears every time I watch. Since the finale I've claimed this to be my personal favorite work of fiction in any medium, which I understand how tall of a statement that is. But I'll stick to it.

I thought it was a wonderful video. It was sad because half the people in it - we knew their fates. Dead, prison or dying (in Claudette's case). Even Tavon was affected as a result of the Strike Team. People said it was a 'memories' kind of video - of coarse, but it wasn't reflecting on how wonderful it was. It was on how sad it was, knowing that the scene with Shane/Lem, both met horrible ends. And the very final scene, with Shane/Vic and Ronnie (the remaining members), they all tore each other apart and ended up destroying themselves. Especially Vic, emotionally.

"You think I'm your female reflection, but no." = Dutch and Claudette are onscreen. Too funny!
Billy Gierhart's wife, Cherie Dvorak, played Kim, Shane's neighbor. She's been a stand-in for the cast from the beginning.

Its not just memories, appears to be some outtakes, at least the scened with Corrine and Kavanaugh after trading the stick of gum.

Hopefully it won't get yanked down for copyright hooday hoo. I uploaded it to help those who are haunted by it get their fix. I can't wait to get this season on dvd! I'm hunting down as much memorabilia as possible, which is weird to me since I stopped collecting things when I started making movies. Now that it's wrapped, I know how perfect a run it was, and now I must have as much as possible!!

My favorite part is the lyric "he's three times the man you'll never know how to be" and we see Hiatt with Lem's gun. Hmmmmm--message to Hiatt about Lem? Because Lem IS three times the man/cop/strike team member that Hiatt was.
My Hiatt hatred lingers. And no, I won't be ok.

Although the lyrics did go well with the series and the shots in the montage, I thought the tone of the song was too cheery for what was a depressing and bleak finale. I think a montage with "Hurt" covered by Johnny Cash with clips of the rise and fall of the Strike Team, although a bit cliched, would have been better suited for it. Or better yet, to the song "Mr. Self Destruct" by NIN. Or a clip where it flash forwarded to everyone's fate such as Assets Veda becoming mayor, Ronnie getting sentenced, etc.

Hiatt never bothered me because I knew he was only gonna be around for that season. Also, we never really got to know him. All I can say is that Hiatt was yum to look at.

Hell, I think I've enjoyed every song they've used for montages, and probably half were from artists I normally wouldn't listen to but they fit so well. (like Kid Rock, for instance) However, they really hit the perfection mark with Concrete Blonde and Smashing Pumpkins.

The final scene in episode 10 of season 5 was perfection. Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins when they put Lem on the run was perfect on so many levels.

I don't know what it is, tigerlily, but I never have been attracted to Hiatt. Love me some Lem and Shane, though.

Are there no scenes with the decoy squad in the finale credits? I don't think I saw them.
