I just watched the latest episode on DVR and it is by far the best one so far. I was about ready to give up on the show, but this episode will keep me interested a while longer. And next week's previews look even better - looks like they may finally get into some of the history of Jax's dad and Clay etc. that they've been teasing us with since the pilot. And yes, the exchange between Clay & Gemma at the police station is classic. This was a very well thought out well-written episode, reminiscent (for the first time) of some of the finer Shield episodes. my favorite scene was the part when they argued in the cell definitely seeing clay angry, was great, it made it real for me, i dont know if im right or not but in my opinion next season will be much better, since sutter wont have to worry about the shield anymore, i feel like he and the rest of the writers were makin sure the shield ended flawlessly, i dont know thats just what i think

Nice catch on the probable abortion scenario. I totally missed that and when I rewatched a second time, I caught it. And does anyone else get an uneasy feeling from the cop that Jax paid in the end of the episode? Just because he paid him extra and killed those guys doesn't mean everything is a-ok. Be careful sexy Jax.

I have to say, last night's episode was pretty good. I like how they developed Clay more in this episode but still leave you wondering what is going on. Clearly he still has some dirty laundry and I am wondering what happened between Jax and Mara. There has to be a damn good reason his mother hates her so much.

Actually, her name is Tara not Mara. However, giving my feelings toward her and the way she seems to use Jax to solve her problem, it's not that much of a stretch or a comparison between the two.

I am just loving the characters of Half Sack and his "future old lady." lol The way the fight ended was priceless.

The show is entertaining, to be sure, and Jax is hot shit... but I want it to be edgier than it is. SOA reminds me more of a tepid network series with a few memorable moments. Seems like a waste of remarkable talent. Really, I expected more from Kurt Sutter.
I want more sex (esp Jax scenes), drugs and rock-n-roll... for example, I wanted to see Clay snuff Lowell jr. I want more of a Vic mix of compassion and contempt from him, with more emphasis on the latter. The other guys are loveable but should they be? I think the one who'd f*ck his own mother is delightful, though.
I am beginning to think this is it. I'll keep watching anyway... waiting for the hot sex scene between Tara and Jax.

^ gotta agree with cuffs here. The show had a good episode a the week before, but this latest one kinda fell flat for me. I mean, THAT'S IT for the whole Jay Karnes ATF agent storyline? Maybe he'll make another appearance, but even if he does it would be more akin to the killer coming back from the dead in a bad horror movie. Dude has lost his federal credentials and is being shipped back to Chicago in cuffs headed for prison. If he comes back, it would be weak writing. And the whole plot with the dead bodies and "secrets" between Clay, Gemma, and other biker dude (crazy necrophiliac guy) was kind of a cock-tease let down of a plot. I'm sure there's more to it, but at this rate, I may not be around to find out. I will watch this show probably until TS ends for good, but after that - if SOA hasn't improved - I'm likely done with it too. They need to really step it up over the last half of their first season. No more dud episodes.

Think the old bones part of the episode is another small clue to what r eally happened to Jax's dad he said that it was around the time his dad died and I don't think the whole story about that is out yet! I'm hooked on this show and so is my Man, he convinced for a good hour after he's seen it that he is a bad ass biker bless him

^ nice new avatar, shibby. that was funny to see Jay Karnes getting his ass literally kicked, instead of just figuratively, as it is on TS quite often. He played the part well; I just think the payoff should have been much better from the writers.

Noob, that banner is seriously out of this world. I can't help but chuckle at that one...comparing Vic and Shane to the Sith is priceless. But what about Darth Gardocki? Clearly, strong ties to the dark side that one has. And where does that leave Lem? Dead obviously...but still...if he were in the SW universe I'd like to think of him as a conflicted Jedi....or a Wookie. Nah...Wookies are too hairy.
I really have to stop talking like this. Anyway, good work on the banner.

I don't think he's gone yet You don't obsessively stalk someone and then just go home cus you got your ass kicked Completely agree. They definetely made it so the Dutchman could make another appearance or two. And I wonder what more there is to the story of Clay killing Lowell Sr. We know he was a junkie but to shoot him in the head three times ( I imagine it to be execution style) and then dumping him with the enemy. He must have seriously betrayed Clay or at the very least pissed him off greatly. I can't wait till the whole truth gets revealed.

Lowell Senior was a rat thats why he got killed I meant what really happened with Jax's Dad cus I think Clay and Jemma know more about that than they are letting on!

Jay Karnes was great in tonight's ep - his 'Goodbye Mr. Crow' line was priceless - it is so easy to see his character as an extension of Dutch if Dutch finally just snapped - I kept expecting him to play 'Hungry Like The Wolf' when he was messing with Tara

That ep last night was great -- best one yet. Jax snuffed out the Dutch Man!! Woooot! I had a feeling he'd be back at some point, but not so soon..... Tara and Jax banging away with the body still in the room?! Wow, Kurt is one twisted freak! YAY! lol
