Watched it last night for the first time and it was pretty damn good, I'll definitely continue to watch the first season to see how it pans out.

I was only able to catch the second half of the second episode and I didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't as good as the first, but I didn't find it unwatchable. I am gonna stick with it for sure though. Katey did a wonderful job as per usual and I agree with cuffs about a possible emmy nom. I am not talking right away, but I can see it happening. Gemma is one bad b!tch and I can't help but to like her. So my fellow rappies, stick it out. It is just the beginning. SOA can only get better.

idk if I'm just too ADD, but I can't get into the show... I've tried, obviously not as much as I do with The Shield though.
Maybe once the dvd's come out I'll get hooked?

Hmmm... this guy looks familiar, eh? HAHAHAAA!!! Fabulous.... I'm getting into the show more and more -- been rewatching the eps on my DVR. It's not "Shield good," (what could ever reach that level??!) but it's "damn good." Perlman is a beast. LOL

Hey cuffs, nice catch on Big Otto's mugshot! He's mentioned a couple of times in the second episode.
The big thing that bothered me about the second episode went away on a second viewing.
The convenience store melee was a really good scene, but I originally thought it was a bad stunt or poor editing when the clerk buried the axe in that dude's head. When I first watched it, it really looked like he stopped short while swinging and it wasn't very convincing. Then they cut away quick.
Wow, I just watched again this morning on the way into work and I was wrong. It's about as convincing as can be. Please dismiss my 'cheesy' remark.

Where did you find that Big Otto picture? Is it somewhere on the site? Is there other character "rap sheets" anywhere? I tried looking for it but found nothing. What is it with Kurt and granny porn anyway?
I also am liking the show but I seems to be liking Opie more than Jax at the moment. If Jax is this show's possible Vic then Opie is the show's Lem. I'll give it some more time though but it looks promising.

On the official site, you can zoom in on the pictures on the Clubhouse wall to see Big Otto and others. Have you seen this one E? Oh. My. GAWD! In other news, from HollywoodReporter.com: The Shield" co-star Jay Karnes is staying at FX with a recurring role on the cable network's upcoming drama series "Sons of Anarchy. "Anarchy," from FX Prods. and Fox 21, revolves around a notorious outlaw motorcycle club's efforts to protect their town of Charming, Calif., from drug dealers and local corporate developers. In a six-episode arc, Karnes will play ATF Agent Scott Kohn, reuniting with "Shield" writer/executive producer Kurt Sutter, who created the series.

I know and I'm a super excited little Jay Karnes fangurl I expect to be spending a lot of time watching very random shows just to see Shield actors from now on ;D

Did anyone watch tonight? I will say this much, this episode was alot better than last weeks. Also, it appears that Jay Karnes is Tara's crazy ex. I wonder what kind of trouble he will cause since he knows that Tara and Jax dated. This should get interesting.

Also, I think the father of the raped girl was the same actor who played "Lester", Joe Clark's pyshco ex-cop "partner" from TS episode 6:05 "Haunts".
I did find it amusing that Jay Karnes is again playing a cop, and apparently one who has a problem properly relating to women. I wonder if this guy got tired of strangling cats and decided to try out brunettes?

Nice catch on the father, n00b. I didn't recognize him, but the Carny with the wild facial hair, I definitely remember him being interrogated by Claudette and a bottle of booze to set him straight. (I had to look up the episode, it was the Mamet episode 'Strays')
This ep was a lot better than last week. Great seeing Jay Karnes. His history with the Doctor and his jealousy (?) should set some good things in motion with Jax and the SoA.

Ole Dutch boy is a psycho stalker, just looking for a reason to visit Charming. I thought for once they would let Jay Karnes not be a creep.

im glad we got this show Kurt sutter has written some of the best shield episodes in my opinion,
and the fact that if the show goes on, we might see some of our favorite shield actors make appearances is enough for me, imagine Kenny Johnson as a bad ass biker

I've been watching it a little. It's pretty good, not great though. The problem is that none of the characters have any charisma or gravitas to them so it just comes off as vanilla. Jax is a god damn pimp though .

Jax is a god damn pimp though . There is a bit of a spark in Gemma, the Katey Segal character. But I agreet that so far, other than her, most of them are bit underwhelming and borderline stereotypical. The younger female doctor lady intrigues me though. Can't wait to see what her restraining order against ATF agent "Dutch" is all about.
