Hypothetical Question:
Let's say you were approached by someone willing to give you 5 million dollars right this instance, on the condition that you can NEVER watch the final season of The Shield, nor can you EVER know what happens to the characters, where the story goes, etc.
What would you do? Would you take the money? Or would you turn it down?
Me? I'd have to take the money. I love the show, but that is ALOT of money. I know it'd be hard NEVER knowing what happens, but that 5 mil will buy alot of therapy.

I love The Shield more than any other show EVER. And I can't imagine loving another show this much. I have a special fondness for it because it's brought me into a fan community where I've met some dear friends - Nick, Anita, Em, Jim, Sharon, Jay, Leah, Allie, Tracey, Angela, Matt, Laura, Nancy, Raquel, Brandon - just to name a few, I've met the cast and crew, I've been to the set, I've been IN an episode.... But hypothetically speaking, I would take the money in exchange for never knowing the ending. Five million dollars would give me far more security than simply knowing how a TV show ended -- and, as Lemonhead said, it would buy a lot of therapy! lol
In this hypothetical world, there would have to be a way to keep me from finding out.... say, hypnosis? Whenever anyone would talk about the show, or if text regarding The Shield would appear on my computer, or if reruns would air on television, I would somehow "block it out." ?? Not sure how it would work, but if it would work... yeah, I'd take the money.

I'd take the money. I love the shield, everything about it, including this site. However, I could die happy now not knowing the ending. So I'd take the $5 mil and run!

Cmon the amount of money is unrealistic. You should have made it like $100,000 5 mil and your set for life.

$5 million is certainly not set for life. Ask any number of former professional athletes who've blown thru 10 times that much with nothing left to show for it .... Mike Tyson immediately comes to mind. That guy once averaged $50,000 per second in the ring. He's now all but broke.

He let people take advantage of him and he was stupid with how he spent his money. Anyways.... I guess I'm still the only one who voted to pass on the cash! lol

In theory: Hell no I'd not take that money nor any other amount
In reality: Hell yes I'd take that money. Then I'd pull a Vic, not only find out what happens but watch the season, and keep the money anyway.

I'd do an Aceveda and demand $1,000,000 for every episode I'm going to miss.

$5 million would set me for life. The trick is to not change your lifestyle so drastically that you couldn't support it if the money suddenly disappeared. I'd buy a new car, pay off my house, and I'd buy a house and 24/7 nursing staff for my mom. Then I'd start my own photography studio so I could have a job I truly loved. The rest would go into savings.

Sorry gang , but I'd take a pass on the $5 Million Dollars ! Yeah that's alot of money , but unfortunately , I'am EXTREMELY LOYAL to both " The Shield " and especially to Vic , Ronnie and Yes even Shane ! " The Shield " is the ONLY show I look forward to all week long ! So go ahead and condemn me for being an idiot for passing up $5 Million Dollars , but maybe Shane will spot me some of the $100,000 he's hiding from Vic and Ronnie ?
