How long had the Barn been around by the pilot? How long did Vic and company have those jobs by the time we first saw them? Co-pilot started with 'Fourteen months earlier' so it couldn't have been long.

In Pilot, they were still building the cage. That was the actual stage crew actually building it, btw - not actors pretending to build it. Dutch was late for work on his first day because he believed that Detectives started an hour later than the Patrol peeps. So, I think The Barn's first day as a police precinct was during Pilot. In Copilot, if my memory serves me (and it often doesn't), The Barn was only a concept. This may be a timeline plothole, but hey... it's Hollywood!

According to Aceveda in the pilot, three months.

So, Vic's first day as Strike Team leader, Dutch's first day there, and the cage being built all happened 3 months after The Barn became a precinct? Hmmmmm....

What I mean is in Co-Pilot we learn that everyone (the Strike Team, Aceveda, Claudette and Dutch, Danny and Julien, etc) first started at the barn the day it was open. The Pilot takes place three months later, per Aceveda's line in the beginning of the episode.

All this discussion is whetting my apetite to finally get around to watching my DVDs from the beginning. Now I need to satisfy that apetite!

...per Aceveda's line in the beginning of the episode. The beginning of which episode? Pilot or Copilot? I'm easily confuzzzzed. And I haven't watched S1 (my favorite, btw) or S2 for a couple years.

Thanks brandongk1.
-E- you are a bit confused. Everyone's first day on the job is during the episode 'Co-Pilot' not the real pilot. In fact, your memory of Dutch being an hour late for work is from 'Co-Pilot' as well. At the precinct where he used to work, detectives started working an hour later then they did in Farmington.

Another timeline plot hole is Connie's kid. If it was 14 months BEFORE the pilot why is Brian still around in co-pilot? Brian was a baby in the pilot. Brian shouldn't have even existed in Co-pilot. Unless it's a case of SOSAS (Soap Opera Slow Aging Syndrome...a play off of SORAS which is soap opera rapid aging syndrome).
I may have to break out my DVDs as well. Nothing else good is on now that summer is here.

I believe, and I may be wrong(can't we all?), but when the 2nd season was airing on FX, co-pilot was the 5th episode I think. So, to set things straight for us, since our minds were in S2 mode, when they aired co-pilot they needed to let us know where they were going. So they were going back 14 months from S2 Ep4. At least thats how I perceived it.
