N O T I C E Episodes are airing early overseas, and also on some satellite providers stateside. However, we at TSR are following the schedule on the FX Network as they air episodes on their cable feeds in the USA. If you have seen episode 6:08, please be very careful how you respond in this episode 6:07 thread. Post as if you haven't seen 6:08, or don't post in this thread at all. This is going to be strictly enforced. Offending posts will be edited or removed as the moderator (that's mE) sees fit.
There are certain threads in the Snitches board where you can discuss the eps that have aired early and legally on other providers. Keep in mind that discussion of anything obtained by unsavory means (stolen scripts, etc) is not allowed on TSR, not even in the Snitches board. READ THE RULES.
Thank you on behalf of all TSR Staff.

I had to give this episode a B, not as good as some of the previous ones, but it was more of a set up episode for the next 3 weeks. Gilroys widow decribed Shane perfectly as a hillbilly.

Here's something interesting I noticed and I don't know if anybody else caught it. At the end when Vic is looking through Shane's package of confessions one of the pages says about hijacking a police evidence van. I assume that's referring to S01E09 "Throwaway". Shane actually didn't participate in that. He wasn't in that episode at all.

Byz-Lats vs. Mexicans--hard to keep straight. It was sort of a setup ep, but that's what all of them will be, to some extent, from now on. Someone in the chat room called it "crazy bitches night". For a 3-word description, it's not bad.

brandongk1 - You mean Vic, Lem, and Ronnie? Does anyone think Shane might have said that they ALL killed Lem? I mean, think about it. They know Guardo didn't do it, Hernan (and others) can confirm Guardo's place in Mexico the night Lem was murdered. Shane could simply say that they all had a hand in Lem's murder that night. He could say that they all agreed to take a grenade and then, when they all shook Kavanaugh and his tail(s), (despite Shane not having one), they all met Lem together and after they failed to get him to go to Mexico (that would also explain why Vic had Gilroy's contacts, since Claudette knows of this now, too), one of them (Shane could say Vic) dropped a grenade in Lem's car. And it's got more than enough "reasonable doubt" in order to stick. I doubt Shane wrote anything like that down, as we probably would have seen some emphasis put on it if he did but it would be (or would have been, whichever) really interesting if he did.

I think this episode was good, but not the best. Tough to come back after an episode like last weeks. The take home message from this is, Claudette knows there is bad blood between Shane and Vic, knows about Vic and Shane wanting Gilroy's Mexican contact info. She will slowly start to put the pieces together, most likely along with Dutch, to build a case against the ST and find the truth. Also to consider, where will Ronnie fit in to all this. Shane still thinks he is smart after all the fumbling he has done in the past trying to be what he will never be, Vic! He will get knee deep in the shite with the Armeninans just like he did with Antwon. Look at the gas station guy already dead. Shane will be the entire undoing of the Strike Team and the Barn for that matter. I still do not trust Hiatt, although I like the character so far, what happened to Hernan? Why are all fed big wigs A-holes? Why is this developer friend of Acevedas so important? What about the one armed Mexican diplomat? Why do we even need diplomats from freakin' Mexico? So many unanswered questions. The Shield is still easily the best on the TV screen.

All good points, mackdaddy. This was a complicated episode. It will help when I watch it again tonight to look for lines for the best line poll. BTW, if anyone has lines they would like to submit for the poll, PM them to me or E by 9 pm EST tomorrow--Thursday (moved up an hour from our old deadline).

I too say this was a very good ep. but not the best. For me, it fit its purpose of being a good combination of a set up show while keeping some established topics fresh with a little new material. Things are set in place for a wild finish to this season. I'll be watching the replay again to see my full take on it.

Two theories regarding Hernan:
1) Ass-eveda's developer friend told the gang that they had a fed rat in their organization. They found out who it was and he disappears.
2) Vic's cell phone had Hernan's number in it when he handed it to the Mexi gang leader. Mexi gang leader used it to either take him out himself or inform the Salvadorins in exchange for something.
I gave the ep a B-. Set-up episode was a big let down from last week, but it was still solid. Julian is performing well on the strike team. Hiatt seems to fit right in, but like others, I think he might be a plant. Claudette - welcome to the dark side.

It was an okay episode. Seemed to be another one where they were setting us up for a few things down the road. Claudette goin to Gilroy's wife at the end and her spilling to Claudette about both Shane & Vic looking for the money contacts will be an interesting angle going foward knowing what she knows.
Also am looking foward to seeing how Ronnie handles Shane going foward

Very good episode, even though it is setting up for other things. It will be interesting to see if Shane makes it to vice.

He more than likely doesn't have any numbers in there but......Hernan did call Vic from his flip phone. Interesting. Nice beginning and end, with Shane compiling and throwing them documents in Vic's lap. I liked that.

Great line from Vic about how Shane shouldn't worry about the papers he tossed to Shane 'cause they weren't a grenade. Oh, I had a headache last night and couldn't hear very well, but was that blonde person in that house, um... with those bangers (hehe ~ that's a double entendre ), umm, was that a guy or a girl? I agree with everyone so far- this ep is a B.
